Can’t complain too much when the ins are Dunkley, Naughton and Crozier.

Happy that they gave JUH another crack, hopefully he shows a bit playing as the third tall. Gold Coast don’t have any natural rucks, so English should be able to take the majority of the ruck load alone.

Don’t think we need the third key tall defender and can get by with Williams and / or Crozier playing taller. Would still rather we give the Keath / Young key back combination and extended run but that seems to be a pipe dream.

I've been critical of Roarke over the years, but he was great for us earlier in the year.
He was BOG in the VFL last week.

Interesting observation. He wasn't in my top 4; Lipinski, Hayes, Crozier and Butler all more influential IMO. All in the eye of the beholder I suppose.

Libba out managed is interesting. Wonder if it has anything to do with maybe staying up north longer.

Rumour has it Libba’s not allowed back to Queensland after last years post-season hijinx. Bailey Smith very lucky to have made it. Caleb Daniel had to sign a contract agreeing not to bring his Evil Kineevil costume.

Roarke didn't get a lot of the ball but when he did he was efficient going at 100% by foot, 2 of his 4 marks were contested, kicked a goal and assisted 2 more.

Would suggest JUH, Garcia, McNeil, crozier and Roarke are the 5 will be fighting to keep that last spot when those 4 are right to go

I expect they will put Lukosius on JUH. He plays third tall play maker role and they would like their chances of getting him loose from the youngster.
I hope JUH stays near him and gets ready to intercept. Lukosius is a fantastic kick but contested marking isn’t that strong. He is used frequently as the outlet guy, so JUH might get quite a few intercept opportunities, let’s hope he is up to it.

I'm similar about English but for this week I think it's 100% fine. Gold Coast have essentially no fit rucks. Graham came in to be their #1 ruck this week; he averages about 6 hitouts a game and is 12cm shorter than English.

We should be able to use Bruce more this week too in the ruck, especially with Naughton and JUH both in
