Scott Burns should be in the side for sure, while Stephen Patterson can go out.

Patterson was barely good enough to be in the side that he played in. Replace him with Licca.
Howe is far better than Harry O.

Buckley and Beams can swap.

Davis in the backline replacing Maxwell, promote Sidey onto the ground.

Elliott replaces Medhurst.

Burns must play too.

On a serious note I think A.Rocca should be in the side ahead of Cloke, more consistent and had a bigger impanct when it was needed.

I'd want to find a spot for A. Rocca as well; even if he was on the bench I'd be happy enough with that, but no chance I'd leave Cloke out.

Howe definitely should replace O'Brien/Lumumba.

I cant agree with the notion that Howe is better than Lumumba.

Do people forget the impact of the Big H at the height of his powers? Streaming out of half back, dreads flying, those big legs pumping, kicking long to a forward option. While he often took on more than he could handle, he was still very good one-on-one, and critical to our premiership defensive structure. We've only won one flag in the thread timeline, and the back six under general Maxy were key to it, with H being invaluable.

Howe takes great marks, he's exciting, he's reliable, and he doesnt preach or otherwise annoy the hell out of us as Lumumba did, especially towards the end. But none of that takes away from what H contributed to our best team of this period.

Sorry on this one, but I just can’t see H bring better than Howe.
Howe is more decisive gets caught less and a better decision maker in my view.

H just got caught too much for my liking.
Good player solid and had an X factor but flawed player.

did rate burns but patterson played really well between 96 and 99 when we were useless only buckley,rocca,williams and patterson held that shocking team .burnsys best footy was 02 to 04 when we were good

nah s rocca played well during 97 to 99 in a crap side a rocca played well in 01 to 03 in a good side i felt s rocca to kick 70 odd goals on a season when we were bottom 4 gave him the nod
