Nope. In the later game. The number on my back gives me away if you're a fan of Australian music (if that clue isn't enough then God help you)
Ah that's easy. You must be No. 1 because you're a Darryl Braithwaite fan - "One Summer"

he is the club, pres, treasurer, secretary, tuck shop lady, 2nds umpire, 1st's umpire escort....The sad thing about Boyce is he is so out of touch with the game, and it reflects on his club. Shouldn't the committee of the club get together and ask him to move on? Maybe stick to running the tuck shop or something?

Correct, you may be more emphatic Bro. Actually, he is the picture you get when you wiki "stalwart"! The VAFA admin/old-boys network regard Boycey and his kind vexatious litigants when they approach HO with some grievance, but without him and his kind....our section probably wouldn't get a mention in the weekly record. Oh, seems we did this week. he hehe is the club, pres, treasurer, secretary, tuck shop lady, 2nds umpire, 1st's umpire escort....
His heart is in the right place, they should just refrain him from umpiring anymore. Without guys like him, footy clubs probably would not survive.
Not saying people like that aren't important in behind the scenes rolls, i'm just saying he is out of touch. As i said, leave him in the tuckshop, let him count the beans, pump up the balls, write letters to the VAFA, book the club rooms, whatever - but dont kid the league by pretending he is an unbiased umpire, or even a good biased umpire at that. May have been a champion in his time, club hero, whatever, i dont actually care - each club has them and each club loves them, but it doesn't mean he cant lose it. (Went on to typed a lot more here but deleted it as this has been given to much attention already). Nuff said.
So your problem is with his umpiring not that he is out of touch? Have you seem any of our games this year where he or either of the other 2 umpired??
The sooner the Ammo's send the reserve umpires to neutral games the better off everyone will be. I believe they do it in A & B grades.
We all must remember that these guys give up most of their Saturday's to help out our clubs and most do it for nothing. I wouldn't think these guys would deliberately adjudicate decisions in favour of their sides.
You only have to look at the umpiring in seniors to understand that umpires (with no affiliation) get caught up in the situation and make decisions purely because they feel aggrieved by one team.
If we cannot get the semi-professional umpires (as they actually get paid to do it) to make decisions on purely what they see and not be influenced by external factors, then how can we expect the club appointed ones be any better.
From what I have seen this year, ALL reserve grade umpires have been on the same level - none better, none worse than any other.
And lets face, everyone thinks the oppositions umpire is terrible - its not a new concept - its been the perception for the last 50 years and it will be the same for the next 50....
From a grade a bit higher - one of the most sensible comments of the year - absolutely the same in D1!
Well said

I'm going to go out on a limb here and tip the Gryph's to knock over St Johns. For some reason when it comes down to relegation games in D3 they seem to dig themselves out of the whole. 8points.
Are you an ex Warrnambool lad??
They should be in their own division: COULDABEENCHAMPIONS, Div.2..Hawks were disgraceful - should be in D4...

Ooh! Aren't Bentleigh just the House's bitch???
Twice this season!
Tank.......Bentleigh like the bridesmaid dress too much, methinks. Who wants the brides dress? SFX. SMS, ELS??? Anyones guess!
Seriously, going down to a competitive side early in the season is no disgrace, but dropping a game to a relegation contender in the last round says you demons are...............MARSHMALOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Get ya ya ya's out... finals time.. 10 years in the VAFA and not even a ressies pennant!
Pathetic.
C'mon you Bentleigh champions, explain this you drunken hillside w***ers!!!
Wow another Melbourne supporter on here Arch Stanton! that makes 5 I think.
Anyway you're your summation of the grounds is pretty well spot on. However I think if Bentleigh didn't get their ground re-sewn last year, I think they'd be about 5th or 6th on you're list.
But you can't blame the clubs for the state of their grounds but rather the councils in which they lie. It always astounds me that grounds in better socio-economical areas have had little or nothing done to them by the situating council.
