If Demon wins tomorrow, I’d have Demon vs Sinner over Djokovic vs Tsitsipas/Fritz for RLA night on Tuesday. Much better for ratings and there is nothing else really splitting the two matches.

I remember him defeating him at last years AO as Alex had been playing pretty well then he lost in 3 sets from memory

He mentioned yesterday that he’d love to play prime time RLA. Think that would be his preference. Sinner has played all day matches this tournament so that should not be the preference. Expose him to different conditions.

It would be stupid to keep him out of RLA prime time now since the next few are his big matches. Channel 9 probably have some say in it too.

Honestly, Alex is the sort of player Rublev beats, and Rublev is the sort of player Alex loses to in a grand slam. Be a huge achievement to get past this round. Sinner and then Novak would be different leagues above and one I don't think Alex can do.

Unsure whether I’d be confident about Novak making it to the SF.

Tuesday’s weather is 27 and I think if Demon makes it through this round, Djokovic will get another day match against either Tsitsipas or Fritz. Both of these guys would have more experience playing these types of matches and experiencing heat at the AO. Tsitsipas did well to keep up with him in a night final last year. Could be a good tossup if it is a day match.

Okay lol, I thought it was AO but a year earlier..

I feel if he gets past Rublev and gets to Sinner that will be his biggest test and if he can upset Sinner, then I give him every chance to upset Novak but as you say it’s a big ask…
