Lots wrote him off at the end of last year but he's been really good this year.

Currently playing the best footy of his career since 2014 prior to when Brent Macaffer tackled him which resulted in a very nasty shoulder injury to Ablett.

Many people who love footy and love watching the champions play were cursing Macaffer as it was widely thought that Ablett would never recover from his injury given the severity.

However fast forward to 2019 and he has made a complete recovery as he no longer has to wear shoulder tape and can freely move his arms above his head, best example being on Easter Monday when he took that hangar very reminiscent of what Senior used to on a weekly basis.

After 7 rounds he'd be right up the top in the Brownlow voting and he is every chance to win what would be a well deserved 3rd Brownlow Medal for one of the greatest players to ever play our game.

An absolute star he is. If he keeps up the form, he is right up there for a chance. Only thing going against him is that he may be rested a couple of times throughout the year and an old man soft tissue injury (which I hope doesn't happen)

Perhaps too many good players on the team to pull enough votes? They are a very even team even if he is a star week in week out.

Not after the suspension...unless the AFL will change the Brownlow rules.

I think two, well earned, might be his lot. Would be very surprised if he was suspended but the Cats will share votes a lot
