Geelong: why are they just not good enough?

This year their game plan has to stand up, the trend of the game has fallen in their lap. It is something else IMO.
Too old to peak in finals. Other teams look zippier and hungrier. Cats look old and slow. Probably psychological now. Dropped their heads in the 2nd term and there wasn’t any fight . Game plan taken away and no plan b.

This is art.

Not surprised by this one tbh.
Loves having a sook does Chris.
Wakes up Monday morning, sh*t shower shave, then straight into having a big fat ******* sook about something. Afternoons, evening too. There'll be something to have a sook about, don't worry about that.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, same as Monday. Have a fu**in' sook.

"And what are you having for lunch today Chris?"
"A big fat ******* sook of course!"
"So the usual, good choice sir!"

Weekend, he'll find something to sook about. Don't worry about that.

Loves sooking does Chris. Loves it.
It's like oxygen. He can't live without complaining about something.
I reckon he'd drop dead if he went 5 minutes without a whinge.

Where do Geelong go from here?

People will say "rebuild". But the reality is they'll probably play finals again in 2022.

The club lives to be adored and celebrated during the home and away season. 20+ weeks of being talked about like contenders in-season seems to be held in greater regard than being premiers through the offseason.

Once again, a game plan of uncontested marking that doesn't stand up to the contested, physicality of finals, too many players with suspect skills and others who are soft. Several selfish players such as Danger and Cameron.

This group is done. You’d look to move on the 30+ blokes out of contract, without throwing the baby out with the bath water. Inject some youth in their place.

Probably the major change they might wanna look at is the coach. 10 years, might be a good time for a change as they progress the list. Scott would get another senior job and might be the stable type a Carlton or GC need.

I expect they'll go again next year and play finals.
