Apparently the Sydney/GWS game is at Stadium Australia. I thought they permanently reconfigured it to only play rugby/soccer on there?

Pretty sure that got canned because the public got a bit shitty about how many billions they were going to spend on it. It’s still the same old awful stadium for watching any sport at.

Gee the MB can be some frightening reading , I wasn't aware the Crows were so chock full of young elite talent across the field . They must have some gems they have been hiding in the SANFL.
Actually reckon its a good sign when you side cops a bit of a pile on in a popularity poll .

Surely not. I'd be pissed if I was a Giants supporter. That's like us playing a home game against * at Princes Park.

All six of them are, evidently.
Must have been on a marketing drive. The typical term in the past has been "both of them"

I gave a talk on supramolecular architecture to an audience of 500 at the University of Sydney's chemistry department on the due date of my second. My daughter was born at 1 am. So I had plenty of time. It's all good, because you have an even better excuse.
What were the 3 key take aways?

Well, we all got pizza, so that was one. I think hungry jacks was another and also rotaxanes may be used in the future to transport vast amounts of information and energy within connected systems at the molecular level.

This isn’t 1999 sadly - England hold zero fear of the current Australian side and have every right not to. I love beating England more than most things - but England is basically ranked equally to us in the ICC rankings and we are relying on the form of more players on the wrong side of 30 than Geelon are. Our last test series was a home loss to India, and our test side hasn’t played for a year since. England would absolutely fancy their chances - scandal or no scandal.
James Anderson is nearly 40 yet is a key part of their team. Broad mid 30s as well. Their bowling lineup is certainly a threat but outside of Root and Stokes their batsmen are more mediocre than ours. Bairstow is a 1 day specialist.

I would go there for the pizza. Love a good pizza

Not overly fussed on HJ’s but might eat a little of that if there wasn’t enough pizza to go around

Couldn’t care for wheels or axles at the molecular level.

No, but it is a year, so England will suck as they always do when they don't have home 3rd umpiring and doctored pitches.

They'll struggle to take 20 wickets to win games.
Anderson as you say 40 ( couldnt get me out back in the day so cant be that good 🙂 ), Broads lost a yard and zip , Leach is their spinner , Wood injury prone and Robinson looks a UK/Duke specialist.

Cricket discussion in Lethals Lounge too 👍

At this stage I’ll be taking the 6yr old, 4yr old and 2yr old to their first game, which may or may not be the stupidest thing I’ve ever contemplated doing.
I rekon your 6yr old will enjoy it. The other 2 will get bored and want to go home at Qtr time lol. Taking my 4 yr old to his first game this year but I'm going to get him used to watching it at a local level first so he has some idea what to expect.

100% agree. I took my now 8 year old to his first game when he was 4 and he didn't even last the 1st qtr. Spent the rest of the game juggling trying to watch the game and keeping him entertained.

Games are just too long for kids and their incredibly short attention span.
