Media Hype & Collingwood..

Normally, when the Pies are travelling, the media is the first one to blow their trumpet. This year, despite a solid start, the media have underplayed the performance of Collngwood.

We've seen sides unable to cope with this hype. Geelong being a prime example.

Strangely, the media this year could be a huge friend of Collingwood's. Other "contenders" will grab the adulation, but Collingwood will continue to attract less attention.

MM would be loving it.

I think we relish being seen as not good enough.

Tonight was another hard effort from all our boys and the youngsters were notably persistant. Great signs.

As long as I get to see Wallsy jump on our bandwagon and then miraculously be right off it when the going gets tough, ill be happy

I'm amazed they haven't jumped aboard. Although we often play well in the first half of the season and then fade out to nothing. So maybe they expect it to happen again....and it may....who knows.

I'm not at all unhappy with the lack of attention.

Papers always have a few articles about the Friday night match in the Friday Paper, people only noticewhen its Collingwood (Even though most were about Freo whingeing )
