I almost talked myself into getting a little bit interested in this farce.

They probably already have the Cam you're playing feel good video planned.

15 disposals and 44 DT points on Sunday. Not in the top 6 best players for Port. Really locked it in with that performance.

hmmmmm our pick (pick 9) - Cam Sutcliff 187cm Defender - (good luck to him)

now we have

Houston 186cm Defender
Burton 191cm Defender
Broadbent 189cm Defender
Hammer 185cm Defender
McKenzie 191cm Defender
Bonner 190cm Defender
Gardner 184cm Defender
DBJ 181cm Defender
Mayes 187cm Defender
Jonas 188cm Defender
Fredrick 178cm Defender

and that doesnt include key Defenders

Clurey 193cm Defender
Lienert 195cm Defender (not classed as a key Defender but has the height for it)
Howard 199cm Defender
Grundy 194cm Defender
Watts 196cm Defender (started this year as a Defender)

so 12 players for 3 small defender positions

Cam Sutcliffe as a pick is actually taking the piss.

I'd take Michael Barlow to play the same role, any day of the week.

the good thing about the mid season draft is the cows didn't take a pick

I like Cam and wish him all the best but honestly what were we trying to achieve here?

He’s not the right type, skill set or age. Even weirder is that he was already at the Magpies so doesn’t improve our prospects there either.

Watch him get a game or two between round 20-23, probably playing as a tagger, before being promptly delisted.

No. It's a deal made long ago. See if if happens again next year.
We could have done something interesting though.

here is Cam's Freo Profile

SUMMARY
The defender displayed his elite running ability with a second-placed finish in the first time trial back at the club. Sutcliffe moved in and out
of the senior side in 2017, playing the final five games of the season.

WHAT THE COACH SAYS (Michael Prior)
Cam’s trained really well all summer. He’s been up there in his time trials and has been strong right through. We expect Cam to have a really good year for us.

Season by Season
The 25-year-old played 13 games in 2017 and reached the 100-game milestone in the final game of the season against Essendon. The 25-year-old averaged 15 disposals with his best performance coming against GWS with 21 touches, eight marks and five tackles.
