Agree. My pick of our VFL boys. Patrols a wing, runs all day and hits the scoreboard. Would be a long term upgrade on George imo.

club has been looking at him for a while

not too sure how he is tracking this year but the club certainly knows enough about him and still 26 years old

He's a very good VFL player, but lacks pace and class and I don't think he can rise to the next level. I really like him as VFL captain as he's solid, reliable and you know what you're going to get from him each week. Seems to be in the BL a lot, so I don't know how he'd go in the guts.

Those guys are all footballers. Lefau is an athlete first. That's the difference.

Aarts was and is a gun VFL footballer.

Prob how I see it ,he has also been on melb list, my first impressions aren’t natural footballer, personally I reckon a prospect should be killing it at vfl to rise above the pack,,,he’s going. Ok without shooting the lights out, I think we ll be more likely to go wafl or sanfl mid that’s putting themselves out there

Yep getting best out of himself which I think is a shade under afl level, disposal a little crude , tends to go short a lot to play within limitations and looks one paced, prefer others for mine

If we take anyone from our VFL side, I hope it is Aussie Johnson.

Wouldn't mind Jake Florenca from the WAFL as a mature aged midfielder.

Averaging 30 disposals and a goal a game in the WAFL. Had 38, 12 tackles and a goal against Claremont on the weekend.

Off the back of 1 good game? I doubt it. Outside of his game V Footscray he's averaging 10 disposals, 2 marks, 5 tackles and 0.3 goals in his 3 other games.

First post I saw when I opened this thread. Wishes come true some times.

Must say I’m not too interested in VFL, WAFL types; well, mature age anyway.

As I’ve mentioned a few times lately: surely there’s some, at the time, underdeveloped kids from the draft who are showing up. Much prefer an 18/19 year old.

Our current deficiency is mids and I can’t imagine improving that situation with tried players from lower leagues.

Not sure, i only know the numbers, Haven't followed Southport however i know Dawson is leading the VFL Coaches votes

As mentioned by others impressive VFL numbers but Brodie & Miles were also very good at VFL and struggled to get games at Gold Coast
certainly tackles alot but not sure about Dawson.

personally id rather give Mykelti Lefau the spot with his upside
