What the heck? Nova Peris to the AFL

Yeah, it is.
ALFred is desperate to be the good guy. He wants to be the social conscience, the catalyst for change, the alpha in a room full of SJW's, but only when it suits him. He'll only don the spandex and strut around with his undies on the outside if he has a chance to get some easy good guy brownie points.
He wants to appear to tick as many boxes as he can. He wants to appeal to as broader cross section of the community as he possibly can - not an altogether unreasonable endeavour, on the surface.
But when he falls over himself in his haste to be the good guy, in his now signature, inimitable way and overlooks the overwhelming evidence to suggest Peris is not a suitable candidate just to 'tick a box' and then you put this, his latest good guy mission in context with all of his other good guy missions, then yes, he most certainly is a 'kn idiot.
She's a legitimate moron. There would be hundreds of people, men and women, more deserving of the role.

Let's hope people wake up. Bad move, we don't need her. It will just be because she's a woman and aboriginal. Afl trying to make a statement. How about just best person for the job. That's the right way to go about it.

Retiring Labor senator Nova Peris will not fill the role of the AFL's head of diversity, despite speculation she was the frontrunner to take up the league's top Indigenous job. The AFL will today announce its new head of diversity — a role left vacant when Jason Mifsud took up a position with the Victorian Government early this year.
Previous reports have suggested the chief executive of Reconciliation Australia, Justin Mohamed, is also a contender for the job with the AFL.

I assume we will now have the AFL educating us on why we need to vote in favour of the change to our Constitution.

Peris has missed out on the head role, doesn't mean they won't conjure up a job for her.
Misfud should've been sacked after the Rendell debacle.
And if not then, surely the Mark Neeld affair should have seen the turd walk the plank..
