Yeah, nothing suss about a Big4 club rinsing and farming an explansion club for their best three players, despite the salary cap.

Then the AFL giving that club a priority pick.

Nothing at all.

Way to bring a load of unrelated stuff.

And then when our list manager has a cheeky dig about trying to get the sa boys back if they get drafted to gc, port are the worst people in the world. Doesn’t matter that 90% of players that have left go ended up at Richmond, Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon and hawthorn does it.

They have over 350 WA based members if all the 2018 members re-signed. From their 2018 membership graphic when they cracked 25,000 (ended up with 25,243). They cracked 30,000 this year but their membership graphic had different info this year.

How big is the Conigilo family?

A girl I went to school with recently moved back to Adelaide from Sydney.

Her two young sons are GWS-mad.

It’s gonna take time, but they’re going to have a legitimate supporter base in a couple of generations.

It's embarrassing at the moment though when they get on a big stage, would be the same with GC.

At least the last lot of expansion clubs held their own crowd numbers travelling to the MCG.

Richmond reserves won PF against Port Melbourne and paying in VFL GF next Sunday against winner of today's PF stand alone team Williamstown and Essendon

below highlights why the Vic AFL side,s can win the VFL premiership and SA 2 AFL clubs will always struggle. They all have decent VFL player lists - by decent, it is size, age of players and quality of players. They have restrictions on salary cap issues. But that's probably because 10 of the 15 VFL sides are AFL owned sides or AFL aligned, not 2 out of 10 and they have sway in the rules.

Look at Richmond who won this year's VFL flag and almost won in 2017 ( but Sam Lloyd didn't kick the goal after the siren to win it), and the squad they could pick from. Its why they dont have to be men vs boys come finals time and especially GF.

Good incentive to just shut the * up, act professional and get on with business.

Should clubs that finish top 4 or top 8 be ineligible to sign free agents?

Should the salary cap somehow prevent the Premiers from signing one the best forwards in the league? is the more pertinent question.

If they lose Conca, Griffiths, Corey Ellis, Hampson, Sam Lloyd, Miles and Stengle which gives them enough space to fit a big name player in then that's just good list management.

Tom Lynch is playing for less at Richmond than he would've been had he stayed at the SUNS. But now he's a premiership player and a big star at a big Melbourne club, you can't put a price on what that may do for his post football earning potential.

And that's the dilemma. My view is that the players should have less control not more control. How you achieve that is the question.

You are dead right ... nothing "suss" about it at all. It happened, Caddy & Prestia, Lynch - mates following mates to another club .... nothing to see here. Richmond have the same cap restrictions as any other club. Good list management & good recruiting has paid off ... Calling it "suss" is just being churlish.

Now on the otherhand, if you want to talk about why Melbourne sides, when they are crap, eg: Carlton over many years, and in pre-premiership years Richmond, received copious amounts of prime-time games, allowing them to continually attract major sponsorship deals, and unfairly growing their clubs into powerhouses, while clubs like Port receive the dross, and struggle ... then I am in your corner.

The cognitive dissonance of the Crows supporters complaining that Port should never have forced the SANFLs hand to join the AFL as it is too Vic centric is amusing. ...
I've asked a number of Camry Crows' supporters over the years when they have complained about the AFL being the VFL and it's all Ports' fault for forcing the SNAFL's hand why, if they were so opposed to joining the AFL, they didn't just let Ports join and be done with it. After all the SNAFL remains great in its own right. I am yet to receive anything that resembles an intelligent answer.

Nobody forced them to support the Crows. They could have carried on supporting the SNAFL sides they dropped like hot potatoes.

This would be in Graham Cornes's fantasy universe where the SANFL David slays the (V)AFL Goliath with a sling made from Max Basheer's jockstrap and a stone made from Leigh Whicker's calcified bile.

"... The AFL treats the SANFL and WAFL with a contempt that reinforces the perception our competitions simply do not matter and are merely feeder competitions. However, the outstanding attendances of 39,000 plus at our past three SANFL grand finals indicate otherwise. More people attended those three grand finals than most Power home games. ..." - Ambassador Wrinkles

Ports play in a SNAFL Grand Final at AO in 2019 and gets a crowd of 39K
Ports play a H&A game against another SA based AFL club at AO in 2019 and get a crowd of 50K

Maybe be the SNAFL just need to play a Grand Final every week.

Seems like tribey has competition for the most eloquent written expression.....

So by that logic Wrinkles admits the SANFL is an inferior competition to the AFLW. Sweet.

Wrinkles has said that people don't go to AFLW games to look at the footy.

"The exhibition match was entertaining and good to watch for a while but apart from the few who really looked like footballers, most of them looked like girls playing football. Boobs and all." - Ambassador Wrinkles

Being reported in melbourne tonite that david noble may be in mix for crows coach. To me this would be a meh appointment. He would steady the ship somewhat but certainly wouldnt be a potential 10 year coach. Would be more likely to keep the seat warm for 2 or 3 years for someone younger while they rebuild their list.

Rucci reported that a week or so ago. I wouldn't be surprised as, as I posted at the time, Noble and Chapman are pretty thick.

Is that the post that stated it was "all Port's fault". Amusing is one way to describe it !!
And to think, they are out there ... breeding. Six toes on one foot and half a dozen on the other.

Surely if they are a real Crows fan they should be grateful that our actions led to their existence?

Without us there would be no Crows.
