Lol boxing

They can do the equilivent of the crows soft draw anytime they want. Just pick and choose who and when you want to fight. Kinda like mayweather fighting paquiouo years after his prime. In fact mayweather has a habit of fighting guys past their prime. De la Hoya for example.

Kinda like port adelaide picking this weekend to line up against the 2002 Brisbane lions side.

They had better not build some monstrosity next door to the oval like west lakes. That will just about ruin AO. Wasn't part of the contract that the venue had to remain neutral?
I cant see them getting approval anywhere near the AO site but that's not to say they won't erect an eyesore in the city outskirts somewhere.

Crows won't be happy until they're able to smack a giant Crow head on the side of Adelaide Oval. It's sad that their identity is based around bolting themselves to a venue rather than building a base and engaging with the local community. I guess it's not their fault, they really don't know any better.

Bolt a giant Emu you mean

its just amazing that Mayweather will earn $180 million from todays fight.. and Pacquiao will earn $120 mil..

pays to be good at beating the sh!t out of someone.

It cost $60 to just watch it on Foxtel, and tickets are going for 100k.. wtf

It pays to get the sh!t beaten out of yourself too for $120 million.

Pays even better to lean on the ropes all match and hug your opponent whenever they go on the attack.

Worst sport ever. and people paid good money to watch that...
I wouldn't attend a boxing match even if the promoters of the fight paid me!!!

Who the **** is Mayweather and who the **** is Pacquiao? Seriously, boxing?

Anyway.

Does anyone else think it's well past time for an award for defenders? There is the coleman for forwards, the brownlow effectively for midfielders, and nothing for defenders!

Our local league has a best backman award that the goal umpires vote on.

Shame they always vote for the loose man who racks up the most disposals but doesn't do any actual defending

Hah who wrote off the dockers as too old, too slow and past it with Pav, Sandi, and McPharlin missing out on a flag?? If as they kept saying after the Port game that they increase the workload they put into the players over preseason by 40%, then 2015 and not 2014 might be their last crack at a flag under Pav, Sandi and McPharlin.

Easy to say in Round 5. Let's hope they still are the same in Round 22. It's a long season.

Exactly, you'd expect them all to be up and about at this time. Given each of their injury concerns the last couple of years, if you had to bet your house one way or another, you'd put it on all three not being available in September, rather than all three are. If Lobbe is our most important player, than Sandilands is even more so Fremantle's, especially as their second ruck is not the equal of Ryder.
