I can't wrap my head around taking Houston out of the team above that got smacked and adding him to the team that did the smacking and being at all confident. Yeh there's give and take with peripheral players but they're of no consequence really

The only things in our favour is it'll be warm, we would be fresh and there are no expectations to win.

Theyll be hugely motivated and we're down Houston from last year and Butters, plus our other injuries. We have added a couple flakey meh players in Richards and Luko, which doesn't fill anyone with confidence, so theres really no justifiable reason why we should win this. If we do, it'll be an incredible performance. On paper we look mediocre as hell.

Them being down Mitchell and DeGoey is the biggest helping factor for us.

If it was betting id probably be putting it on Collingwood 40+.

Fingers crossed for a good performance, but i have no confidence we have the capability to win today. This sort of game plays straight into our wheelhouse of weaknesses. We dont like when we face big oppo crowds, we go to water, we dont like high pressure sides, and we have a history of getting lost in aerial ping pong games at the MCG where our inefficiency becomes glaring.

Realistically I'm just hoping for an injury free result where we get within 5 goals.

Take away the poor first terms from Brisbane and Essendon this week, against sides that played round zero, and both those sides were on top.

If we can keep with them early it will be good signs for a competitive night.
