Marshall I think we just need to persist with.
Not at the expense of possibly winning games, or another players development.

No good passes. When Dixon comes back in, don’t think there is room for Toddy.

I’m as big a fan as anyone but his performance today, and last week is a long way off where we need it to be.

That was fun, Alberton footy>>>anywhere else.

Noticeable good:
  • Playing a forward line all day
  • Rockliff fit
  • Lycett - when Paddy went down, we used to have to scramble and shuffle. Not now.
  • Gus Butters
  • Watts as a defender makes good decisions
  • Boak in middle
Not much to complain about. 100m rule can't continue in it's current incarnation, Burton for Wingard alarming, didn't like killing time at ends of quarters (we've never been good at it), early goals conceded in quarters if I'm being picky.

Had a great day, rekindled some of my love for footy. Might even go to some games after all...

Agree. People forget how young and raw he still is for a key forward. He's growing into his body and growing into AFL football playing a very tough position.

To be perfectly honest, the one I find hard to justify putting in my 22 is Charlie Dixon. Lycett or Ryder resting forward, Marshall roaming around, Westhoff and Watts swinging. With the way we're looking to play, that mobile tall setup is absolutely ideal. Dixon to me is a bit superfluous in that setup because the resting ruck is playing the role he normally plays.

We won’t have to worry about Dixon for some time...

People blowing their beans over Lycett's performance against Tom Campbell is a bit premature.
Campbell is no mug. However, it was nothing to do with his ruck work why people are getting excited. His marking, around the ground work, his goals and his clean hands off the ground, that’s the reason why people are happy.

I thought Burton was very good in the second half. Got a lot of the ball and has a beautiful kick.
