HRS and Banks have the wings for mine. Trezise feels the odd man out of the three, and takes away from Brown’s ball use if we slot him in defensively.
The Suns have King, Read and Walter up front and serious zip off half back. We’re going to need to retain some speed and Blight’s versatility, so Samson misses out.
Maybe a Gray / Bauer swap gets the nod if they feel they need another defender.
Sonsie you’d want to give a spell but Smillie, McAuliffe and friends not there yet.

It has got to the stage where when one bad turnover occurs for TT or Hopper, it's all people focus on post game. They forget the other 30 disposals that weren't bad turnovers. We are highly competitive for 30-45 minute patches in all games because we have some senior midfielders able to compete. But at this time we only have two quality ones - TT and Hopper. Our issue is not them, it's not having anyone of quality to support them - yet. That quality will come in the form of Lalor, Smillie, McCaulliffe, Hotton and at least one of our top-5 picks from next draft - with maybe Campbell getting injected in there (plus Prestia to provide a chop out in a few weeks).
If we didn't have TT and Hopper getting 50+ disposals, 10+ clearances, 10+ tackles every week we'd be competitive for 10-mins a game and would lose by 100+ every single week.
Eagles just played a game with no Kelly, no Yeo, no Sheed and Harley Reid across half back and recorded the lowest EVER number of contested possessions in a game with 77 against a team that was winless. Be very clear, that's what we'd be without TT and Hopper, and that's a fast track to the bottom falling out of the joint.

Broad was solid in a champion team but in a rebuilding team and at the end of his career he is being shown up.
Why does he constantly get cheap kicks to then turn it over? Why does he kick on his left foot when he doesn’t have one? Why does he get out marked in one on ones constantly.
He’s seriously overrated by many on here.

"Midfield structure is wrong but I can't see who we bring in to fix it". Are you joking? What about Pick #1, Pick #7, Pick #12 and McCauliffe? With 2 x top-6 picks this upcoming draft we've literally got our midfield sorted for a decade, so I don't know why people are so panicked about our midfield 5-games into a rebuild, particularly as Lalor looks like he'll be uber elite already.

Miller has been excellent in 2025 thus far. Had his colours lowered against Treacy, but I really think most of the goals were due to horrific turnovers catching him out of position. And one was a free kick by Hopper. So let's not burn the guy on the back of his first poor game of the season. And Dow is on the cusp of making the grade or ending his career. At the moment you could put his stats in before the game - 20 touches, 3 clearances, 4 tackles and no goals. He needs to turn that into every second week getting 25 / 6 / 6 and a goal and he's valuable moving forward. I'm barracking for him as he gives his all, and I really hope he makes it. He's got something our other mids don't - he just needs a massive shot of self confidence to take the next step....he's on the cusp, but it could go either way.

You're worried about pressure on spots for small forwards? Hotton will play a mid/fwd role but is injured. J Clarke plays that role and is injured. Mansell plays that role and is suspended. Alger will play that role and is a kid. Lalor will be a 60/40 mid-fwd and was injured. Then we have Campbell and Green.
So on the weekend there was literally 4 x players unavailable for a forward line role and another who is 5-games into his career and you're wondering why MRJ was picked?
We have small-medium forwards coming out of our wazoo....I honestly don't know if you're aware of the composition of our list..???

His disposal efficiency is 84% this year and kicking efficiency at 82% which is above league average. So wrong on that one.
His loss rate in 1 on 1s this year is 18% which is better than Harris Andrews, Alex Pearce, Jeremy McGovern, Steven May. I suppose you think they're all duds as well?
