If only Dimma had jumped ship earlier,we could have had a better chance coach wise.A wasted year where he stuffed up cooking the sausages.
Then again new toys are fun to play with, but living on the Gold Coast is it worth it.
We have some great new toys also, kids played some good footy against Port.We have the makings of a team that could play finals next year a lot to look forward too. We just need a coach who will want to be there.

Dimma is only one piece of the puzzle. I think as a club we havent had good continuity with our coaching ranks overall. Leppa, Fly, Rutten, Caracella, Kingsley all very senior assistants that have been a revolving door for us.

Next senior coach needs a crew thats committed for 3-5 years IMO.

Thought Dow did ok, we have something to work on. 176 mtrs gained from 27, is not good. 19 Handballs. 6.5 meters per possession. Even Hopper had more with his 16.
Last week Hopper had 28 disposals and Dow had 16. Id have both ahead of Graham.
definitely a higher handball ratio than you'd like to see from dow, but I reckon we're dealing with incomplete info thanks to champion data hoarding all the data

would like to see data from balls won by him and the metres gained by the handball receiver as winning it at the coal face can force you in to quick & congested handballs. especially since dow has shedda like handballing ability

plus he's not the most reliable kick at the moment so if he can find a distributor I'm all for that rather than banging it 45m to the oppo spare if there's other options

Geez, the carry on from so called adults in the game day thread was really something.

Dead rubber and debuting kids and you would think it was a finals game.

Best result ever as Mini will not get the job now.

MRJ once again shows he has zero football skills other than running fast.... But but he has a famous surname.

Perfect Sunday.

Agree MJR is not even a VFL quality at this moment

A read a comment earlier about transitioning Dan Rioli into a midfielder. I can't be bothered finding it again, but that's such a good call.
I mentioned giving him a go as an outside mid/wing
Similar role that Short has played at times off the back of the contest as sweeper

Will never know the answer but can help but wonder if our season would have actually ended better (higher up the ladder) if we actually played some of these young fellas a bit earlier. Brown, Bauer and Dow are the three which spring to mind. McIntosh kept getting played out of form and Pickett, albeit played out of position didn’t offer much for weeks. We certainly didn’t look any worse without them yesterday.

Has anyone else heard Tigers into Elijah Hollande Gold Coast
They r looking at offloading him plus first round pick to free up salary space similar to Bowes last year
hopefully better than elijah connors

They’d be offloading him for picks, they need points for the academy players.

He wouldn’t be on good coin to warrant a salary dump, they also can’t afford to give away a first rounder for nothing this year.

Would give them pick 25, 44 and 62 for pick 4 and Hollands. Pick 4 would get us Caddy or better.

Use our last 2 picks on Naish +1.

Ended the year better than we started it IMHO.

Got a few young players getting games into them and showing a bit. That's all you can ask for in a cluster* season.

Will never forgive Hardwick for saying "it's all too hard" and then turning up with a s**t eating grin at fold coast. He can get ****ed.
