Yay - I agree with you on something
If he was anyone else, he wouldn't be being selected on form at all. We can't carry him imo - I know it was only the wees and poos, but there is no coincidence our forward structure looked by far the best when he wasn't out there.

We don’t have strong contested marking options in the forward 50.
Reid is the only one who consistently does it up forward and we know that’s not happening.
You can recruit every elite kick in the competition but you still need someone to catch it.
It’s so sad seeing the bomb into the 50 as our main entry.
And is it that hard for every player (Mainly Ladham’s) to take two steps back off the mark before considering the risky one foot handball.

Apologies for interrupting, I just wanted to send my best wishes to both of the McCartin brothers for a speedy recovery from their respective injuries. I always cringe when I see poor Paddy get a head knock and I'm praying this recent concussion won't amount to anything serious.

I was softer last week, but this week was way way worse.
Defence was amazing, midfield was below par, but serviceable, forwards were terrible. Yes the inside 50s were garbage, but all the forwards were incredibly disappointing. Even Papley, who looked dangerous, stopped using other players and faded out of the game completely.

Drives me insane with Heeney. 30 degrees out on a 45 degree at worst angle - one of the best kicks when he gets it right off a traditional run up. Naaaaaa lets trying a frigging round the corner kick.
Man up and kick truly and earn your $ please.

Mcinnerney is the one I’m disappointed in. Tackles too easily broken and isn’t taking those marks that he was at his best.

We moved on from ROK and Maxfield quickly and unfortunately for JPK it took until that injury to realise that we were a better side moving on from him (not mentioning that GF). Father time can hit like a brick wall and maybe it is hitting Buddy now.
They persisted with Lloyd but heard he got a talking to by the coaching staff when he was well down on form instead.

Requires all brain cells to work together. He is a frustrating footballer - he does so much good stuff, and then has utterly turgid moments thrown in. Saying that - the umpires call on that tonight was beyond absurd.
Kicking let us down badly tonight, both in general play and shots at goal. Some head scratching decisions at times too.
I will go a bit easier in our guys because it was really blowing out there - still is now.
Anyhow, still have faith that they will learn from this and be there when it matters.

Umpiring bloody woeful. Absolutely pathetic effort by everyone... Swans, Port & the umpires. Noone deserves to be paid for that. It was VFL standard at absolute best.
All 3 talls are a problem right now. We're missing Reid badly. Amartey doesn't really deserve to play but we need him as the second ruck, and McDonald had always been vastly overrated by everyone. With or without Buddy, he offers less than even McLean. He barely does anything of note except pop up for an occasional easy goal. And Bud himself looks sadly past it. That was probably the worst game I've seen him play.
Lol. This is ridiculous. Amartey has one poor game, Mclean is better than Mcdonald? That is fantasy land.
