Welcome, everyone, to the countdown of the top 20 posters in the Sweet FA for Season 35. This will be the 17th beez Trophy, the award to recognise the best poster and contributor on the Sweet FA board throughout the course of the season. The award was started by Jhye Clark 13 in Season 15 and won by beez (hence the naming of the Trophy), it was not awarded in Season 16 or Seasons 19-21 before being revived by Hate in S22.

As was the case last season, the invitational voting system is designed to reward and encourage consistent engagement across the league over the entire course of the season. With the advice of the Committee representatives, 5 posters from each of the 13 clubs were sent invitations to produce a list of their top 20 posters in the league for Season 35. Self-voting was not permitted.

This season, we had 62/65 send votes for the beez medal.

Posters who were ranked 1 on a list were allocated 40 votes, 2 were allocated 37 and the votes decreased by 2 per rank until the 20th ranked poster is allocated 1 vote.

In total, 124 posters received votes in this seasons beez medal.
We will start tonight with the 20th overall ranked poster working our way up to the winner of the Season 34 beez Trophy. So crack open a beer (Or chilled, filtered water if your name is Headless), sit back and sing your praises or criticisms of those who made the top 20 tonight.

Thank you to Jabba73, Headless, TheInjuryFactory, Elton Johns Wig, manangatang for assisting with write-ups for this presentation.

Thanks in advance to Headless for thanking all involved with graphics and write-ups in advance.

Before I go straight into critisms of the 20, just wanna say thanks to everyone who volunteers putting these together.

fwiw, beez write ups are some of the most fun write ups you can volunteer to do, so don't be afraid to put your hand up in future season.

Jeepers, you threw us under the bus there.

Could have at least waited for a favourable reaction before sharing the blame for the write ups.

Beez35 20.png
Season Highlights:
  • Captained the Royals to their first finals win since the legendary Season 30 premiership team
  • The man who gets to decide who is relevant in the SFA
  • Assisted in search for missing match threads
The Royals captain nahnah finishes in the Top 20 for the first time in his career in Season 35 with a healthy return of 402 votes. nahnah's posting style comprising mostly of sardonic, witty one-liners in match threads that allow him to seamlessly fit into any match thread against any opponent. He can cut opponents down and disarm in few words, making it look effortless.

A similar laconic, relaxed style is how he approaches media content too with threads like 'where are the match threads' and 'top 30 most relevant posters' seemingly low in effort, but spot on in comedic timing.

He has also stepped up in Season 35 as a representative for the Gold City Royals in the committee demonstrating that he is fully capable of handling business when his team requires.

Will the beez placing compare favourably to his top 30 relevant posters list?

I‘m tipping that nah, nah they won’t.

19th - 406 votes - Robertio (OOB)

Beez35 19.png

Season Highlights:
  • banned from the grand final of Hate's heart after posting excessive quantities of Old Boys media threads in grand final week
  • earned recordbreaking profits in his Guiness Bar

By Elton Johns Wig

Ophidian Old Boys star Centreman Robertio has had a breakout beez year in Season 35 after finishing just inside the top 40 last season. Rob relished the less constrained atmosphere at the OOBs, posting in a more magnanimous style that resonated across the wider Sweet FA community. Delving into some media early in the season before focusing on the week to week banter, Rob then returned with a special fireside series for Grand Final Week

His friendly and engaging banter was evident, and he was indeed a powerhouse in match threads, where he enacted a hgh egagement style and he formed a formidable tag team with Ligma, finishing as the OOBs leading poster for S35.

Congratulations Robertio on a fine season.
