Got not much coming through. He'd be throwing his career away.

Also loves Melbourne.

Love how confident you blokes are... it's almost like Saints supporters and King. Oh wait

There’s always going to be that potential lure mate.. thankfully our playing group seem to love the dogs and the current environment and are all staying.

We'll be 2 years into a rebuild end of 2024, bit foolish to think we will forever be down the bottom of the ladder.

His partner is playing with the West Coast Fever and he's from WA, so a strong pull to come home.

I'm just glad we avoided paying draft capital now when we needed it the most, and can just potentially nab him a free agent in 2 years time.

Isn't the main/only issue with English his partner wanting to move back to WA ?

Hopefully that situation has changed and she is happy to settle down and raise a family in Melbourne.

Na she plays netball in WA but it’s only for a short period of the year (I think that’s where the partner link stemmed from). They both purchased a house in Melbourne not long ago.

He could always want to move back for family reasons but doesn’t seem to be an issue and seems very comfortable in Victoria.

She's playing for the West Coast Fever for the 2022 and 2023 seasons at a minimum

You will still be down in cellar by the end of 2026, let alone 2024.

I am not sure many of you Eagles fans know how bad/cooked your list is, you potentially could be 10 years away from flag contention again.

Heard that after 2011 and 2001 from opposition supporters

10 years away from flag contention is a bit rich, it's only the extreme cases like Carlton, Melbourne, Essendon etc who took that long to do proper rebuilds.

Time will tell, but tales of our demise have been done before and it hasn't worked out well for the ones eager to jump on our grave.

Other than Oscar Allen what top level talent have you got coming through under 25?

We’re not Carlton bud

Speculative but promising picks at this stage with the likes of Chesser, Culley and Hough. But that is the whole point of the rebuild, we will be adding to

To what end do the Bulldogs have top level talent coming through under 25?
Aaron Naughton
Bailey Smith (who is in danger of derailing his career with off field stuff)
Cody Weightman maybe?

Ed Richards is a good flanker at this stage, wouldn't call him a star
JUH has been under whelming so far and hasn't lived up to the hype of a number 1 pick

Rest of your list born 1998 and after is meh and haven't done anything of note

Netball seasons are short and she could be anywhere in 2 years.

Using netball is the laziest argument

So no one if you're not counting Richards and Jamrra.

2 haven't played a game and Hough who's averging 12 touches a game.

English, Naughton, Smith, Weightman already very good players

Richards, West, Khamis, Darcy and JUH all showing great signs of development.

We are also not rebuilidng and have a core group from 25-30 that you don't have: Bont, Macrae, Dale, Daniel, Dunkley, Treloar, Libba, Keath

Lucky footy teams aren’t made up exclusively of u25 year olds then. We’ve got plenty of talent to see us climb up the ladder over the next few years.

Its doesn’t take a genius to figure out English will be coming into free agency just as we will be looking to throw our cash around and his name will likely be at the top of the pile to aim it at.

McNeil, Bedendo and Garcia look promising as well

You said top level talent, Richards and Jamarra don't meet your definition yet.

English is 25 this year, so fails your definition of under 25.

West, Darcy, JUH and Khamis are as speculative as Chesser and co at this stage. Signs of development doesn't equal top level talent so you are again failing your own definition at this point

You aren't rebuilding and you do have that core in the 25-30 range, but that wasn't the question you posed so you are shifting the goal posts now.

Anyone out there taking Chesser, Culley, and Hough ove Naughton, Smith, and Weightman?

So then we have 3 and you have 1.

Please tell me how you'll rapidly improve over the next couple of years and not be like Carlton then?

Who said anyone was?

I did say the first 3 were all speculative, the latter 3 have runs on the board

So we have 3 with runs on the board and another handful in the same boat as those 3 that was the point. You only have 1 with runs on the board

Can you please name these players with plenty of talent? I've watched most of your games this year and you're last for a reason. Also yes when you are rebuilding the u25's are what you're looking at as they are the future.

Yes you will have cash but you will still be an ordinary team

Allen, Ryan, Rioli, Yeo, Kelly, Barrass, Sheed, McGovern and English
