VFL Team looking good for 09 Season

We all know last year they where a pretty weak side finishing 3rd last but with 2 wins in the 1st 2 Practice games, it looks like they could make some noise in 09

Guess it's helped we got a few of the un-drafted Kids from the Murray Bushrangers side.

Let's hope so Dave. I thought that our VFL side showed some promise last season and some of our reliable regular players will be back for 09 (ie Rohan Frost who got a run on Friday afeternoon). I think the year Geelong won the flag they also had a very strong VFL side (seems so long ago!). Are we still playing our home games at Princes Park? Seems to be a lot of building work going on there.

Geelong are a different situation they are a bit more than a reserves side. They have the added advantage of a regional affiliation with Geelong Falcons and the general area. We have to be more active in our recruiting as we don't have a network like that.

Probably because they already Signed and Plus there Senior Players so they don't have to try out

Yep crow too, shorts pulled up to chest and shirt tucked in just like when he plays.

He actually reminded me of wendell on friday night, must of been his nerd demeanor and pale skin. really good bloke though, loves the pies

Here's one for ya Dave, I read today that Shane Macdonald is off to Frankston so he won't be wearing black and white this year. I saw him play a nice game against Willy last year, but didn't play many games after that.

Exciting small forwards Dick and Benell
Brent Macaffer should do well again if not in senior team
even depth in players like Leigh Brown who showed he was one of the best in VFL.

Cox will be fighting for his position against Goldsack so one of them will be in the team
Toovey will be in the same catergory with Cox and Goldsack but i recon Goldsack will be the winner out all of them.

Leigh Brown will be fighting for his spot with Ben Reid and Presti
but i don't see 2 spots for Presti and Ben Reid or Leigh brown and i think presti will be the only one linging up in the AFL with Brown and Reid playing VFL

Rocca and Rusling will line up forward for first couple of game imo to there ready but if that happens we could see Anthony line up in goals.
and if Sidebottom makes debut VFL will gain experience with players like O'Bree
or exciting youngster Beams

considering if we start with that forward line and Midfield
