Who was it? Petch due to basketball?
A very high percentage of North fans outing themselves as absolute nuffies in this certified legendary thread.

Pendlebury had just come off a 500 disposal season as well. It's not like he sprung up out of nowhere through 2009 and 2010.

Urquhart already our best player

Gone under the radar a bit this preseason which is a shame. He’s put on a bit of size (8 kegs according to Cripps) so will be better equipped to cope with the physicality of AFL

Just need a spot to squeeze him into

Certainly getting talked up, but in fairness he showed some good signs last season, considering his light frame
at the time..gives us more depth and versatility going forward..

So, if Hough was fit to play Saturday, how come he didnt play in the Beagles game Sunday?

Might still have been subject to the ventolin limits in a 24 hour period, or at least the club didn't want to risk it

Isn’t that what he came in as as? In one of the team photos he is standing next to Ginbey and clearing him

Measured at 188. something at testing just before being drafted. So at least 2.5cm of growth. It's not a heap but an inch or so of growth into a developing body and putting weight on has probably slowed his development a touch. In saying that he's in great shape to be a B22 player either this year or next long term.

I'm really bullish on Hough I'm just not certain on his best role going forward. Worst case scenario he is a very solid, consistent lockdown defender with a bit of run and dash. Could also be a late development option for the midfield and this was his big upside when being drafted. That and his great personality and drive to get better. Top kid from a great Harvey based family.

Was hoping when drafted for a tall marking winger who got plenty of the ball. He could be that player or even a bit more inside. Probably more a Jack Crisp than an Andrew Embley but he is a bit taller and a better mark than Crisp imo.

Just thaught I'd bump this thread as Brady's sponsor, so everyone can put a message of support to Houghy on how good a start to the season he is having. Has managed to shut down Willi Rioli, Toby Green, Cody Weightman and Tom Papley. Houghy is fast becoming one of our best young players, is getting the task on the opposition's best small/medium forward each week, and so far he has won each battle. Not bad for a skinny draft bolter from Harvey in the beautiful South West of WA taken at pick 31. Well done Houghy.

He's an absolute ripper and played his role almost to perfection so far this year
A role that we've desperately needed too.

Almost too well as I'd say that's his position permanently now, and personally I'd like to have seen how he'd have gone further up the ground but they can't move him now. He's too good back there.

And to think there's quite a few of our supporters almost completely writing him off in the Dogs gameday thread because he let Weightman kick a goal and got outmarked by checks notes Marcus Bontempelli

He’s collecting some scalps.

Think he goes under the radar because he has a role that is a bit dour and underapprecisted.

Copped some criticism for his game on Weightman, but given Weightman kicked 6 the week before he did ok, with a few learning to come out of it.
