A few others probably didn't regret the move.

Big Tom Campbell somehow eked out another 4 years of being on an AFL list,

Lachie Young has managed 35 games after getting only 8 with us and will probably play many more,

and let's not forget Ray Huppatz who starred in a GF for Norf, with a team high 27 disposals and 2 goals in 1978.
Tom played 12 games for North over those 4 years. He'd have played more had he stayed. I agree with you about Young, going nowhere at the 'Dogs, good luck to the lad. Huppatz, though, that's unfair, that's back in the dismal days, he wasn't the only one to leave chasing a premiership, think David Thorpe a decade earlier and Dempsey, there'll be others, though, sharp minds, like yours, will recall. "Starred" is a bit rich, 2 goals from a forward pocket in a loss.
