No surprise that he's put contract talks on hold when he's had a couple of years marred by injury.

Betting on himself to have a decent, injury-free season, earning yourself a bumper deal, rather than signing on now whilst his value would be at the lowest.

We're all over him, he's coming home to the Crows. You're getting our first.

Nice draft hand for you, start by getting Harley Reid with pick 1

Lol and then you woke up?

Day is not leaving. He has strong ties to the club. His grandfather Rob played in our 1971 premiership and he loves the club.

He’s only 21 and had a poor couple of seasons with injury and form. His management are being smart.

Day will back himself in to have a huge season, so we have to pay him bigger $$$. He will sign a 3-year deal at the end of the season.

If you’re prepared to go through a tough 5 year grind in a rebuilding team, it’s a good time to be a young talented player at hawthorn.
The hawks should have plenty of salary cap that they have to spend and the player managers know it.
Moore recently cashed in and given a good season this year, i expect Day will do likewise.
The danger for lowly rated rebuilding clubs is a player’s desire for immediate onfield success and the willingness to accept less for it …

AFL careers are short and the Hawks are years away from contending so Day faces an interesting decision.

The consensus being that if he leaves Hawthorn it will be to return to South Australia.

However, is there anybody that could comfortably say that Port or Adelaide look primed for immediate success?

The Crows and Hawks are practically the Spiderman point meme at this stage in their rebuilds, and Port are either winning this year's flag or getting a new coach, so their future is completely up in the air.

From what we know about Will's development as a footballer and how popular he is within the playing group, I'd be be stunned if he left.

hawthorn are rubbish at the moment and are on a full rebuild, why would a talented highly regarded young player leave?? bad career advise if he been told otherwise.
