I don't think the dives off the cliff are really necessary - sure VB back in hits a few sore spots in our collective "common sense" part of the brain, but we are far from a rabble. I don't think Pyke deserves to be written off because of decision by the selection committee, I'd need to see a pattern to jump on that wagon.

Would love a real explanation of what is going on though. If we are demanding SANFL performance then why VB? If we are not demanding SANFL performance then what are we demanding?

I'm angry, but a little harsh calling Pyke a dud at round 9 after one bad selection week. Some posters on here seriously need to get a grip.

If anything it just confirms he's passed the honeymoon stage. Partly why I've been hesitant to form an opinion on him after the good first 4 rounds. He's definitely not impressing me at the moment and I'm not convinced about him after the past couple of weeks.

Even I am shocked and surprised at the inclusion of NVB. Like most I think we needed to bring in some new faces and see what they can do. Not sure the SANFL bye had anything really to do with selection.

The 2 Crouch brothers out? I did not see that at all. Havent told the club they are leaving have they?

I legitimately wan't an explanation as to why VB is getting a game. How does CEY not even make the emergency list? What the actual **** is going on. Such a promising start to this season and now we get VB in. Un ******* believable.

Sad part is it will not affect us this week as we are playing a NEAFL team, next week is where VB will get found out, they should have used this week to see if CEY or Wigg can show what they have and put pressure on your seedsmans and hendo's to hold their spot, we desperately need to put pressure in these players to perform week in week out putting VB in. Doesn't do that as it's ok to drop him!

Rocket lets look at the facts and the boys club over our reign of averageness and if they contribute: Noble, definition of 'Yes man'=TICK, VB: EX-captain and a 'great bloke' line that gets thrown out as a reason for selection=TICK, Campo: Finally loses the best clearance player in the AFL and suddenly goes from superstar to half a star, method around the contest has been woeful for years = TICK, Matthew Clarke, had one of the best rucks in the afl but where is the improvement from others=TICK. The coaches are the exact definition of why we are continually are where we are.

And does anyone wonder why our coaches never get poached. They are the coaching equivilent of VB, Mackay and Cheney...PLODDERS. There is no flair, no outside thinking, no imagination, just the Trigg-era idea of near enough is good enough. Strive for stars, naa too cold but aim the clouds and you might land on one plus there's a lot of them....
