Looks like Will Jacks is going to the Hurricanes. He was just player of the series in the Vitality Blast.

Spin bowling all rounder would be handy. 309 runs at 34 with a s/r of 150 and 13 wickets at 16 with econ of 6.46 this year but doesn't look like he has bowled much before this year which is a little curious given he has played 35 odd matches.

Took the new ball in a few of the games I saw this season. Did a good job.

The Hurricanes potential best 11 is shaping up nicely
Darcy Short
Matthew Wade (won't have him until maybe January)
Mac Wright/Caleb Jewell
Peter Handscomb
Dawid Malan (won't have him for the first 5 matches)
Ben McDermott
Will Jacks
Tim David/Simon Milenko
James Faulkner
Nathan Ellis
Riley Meredith

2 Spinners and 4 seemers will do the trick.

Will Jacks would open for you while Wade is away.

The biggest issue is whether the teams will be able to travel interstate. They may be able to use charter flights and remain within a hotel and ground bubble. The Melbourne teams may need to relocate to other cities, like Hobart, Adelaide or Canberra

I heard Prestwidge from the heat is going to join the renegades.
We’ve signed Nabi, who should we target as the other2 internationals. A mystery spinner? Batsman? Another all rounder. I heard something about Sunil Narine coming back too...

Would change the batting a bit, seems too top heavy with the big hitters. Maybe Bancroft in the top order to bat through with the others hitting around him?

I was actually wondering whether Inglis might move down the order - especially to further his international chances.

Not even sure Bancroft is a walk up start anymore

We could even whack in another specialist middle order bat as our third international. The bowling is strong enough.

Roy
Inglis
Livingstone
Pooran
Mitch Marsh
Turner
Agar
Richardson
Tye
Behrendorff
Ahmed

Bowling depth is a challenge though.

Also given the "talent" we have - i do wonder whether we'd have salary cap for another international.

The Aus side needs someone to prosper at 6.

With the likes of Warner, Finch, Philippe, Stoinis et al all doing well at the top of the order - we have never had a consistent late order finisher.

If Inglis could fill that role as a power late order hitter - it would put plenty of pressure on Carey.

According to the CA article about marquee players posted yesterday Pooran has decided not to seek a BBL contract this season any more. The extra 1.8m in the salary cap now might change his mind now though..

The last international is outside the cap

Scorchers need some finishers - Turner can hopefully focus his energy on that role as others look to fill the top 4 positions.
Don't mind the Inglis idea though I doubt he'd be too stoked missing out on a top order spot.
Have we snaffled Roy up as he's the best available, dont get me wrong very happy to have him, but opening batsmen werent our weakness last year.
Paris and Gannon have filled the last 2 bowling spots.
What's Gannon like in BBL?
