Strangely, that's potentially a top 5 side. Will be hard to beatWould change the batting a bit, seems too top heavy with the big hitters. Maybe Bancroft in the top order to bat through with the others hitting around him?

Spin bowling all rounder would be handy. 309 runs at 34 with a s/r of 150 and 13 wickets at 16 with econ of 6.46 this year but doesn't look like he has bowled much before this year which is a little curious given he has played 35 odd matches.
Took the new ball in a few of the games I saw this season. Did a good job.
The Hurricanes potential best 11 is shaping up nicely
Darcy Short
Matthew Wade (won't have him until maybe January)
Mac Wright/Caleb Jewell
Peter Handscomb
Dawid Malan (won't have him for the first 5 matches)
Ben McDermott
Will Jacks
Tim David/Simon Milenko
James Faulkner
Nathan Ellis
Riley Meredith
2 Spinners and 4 seemers will do the trick.
Understandably, Jacks could be the aggressor, while short takes a back seatWill Jacks would open for you while Wade is away.
Let's hope we get some signings3 overseas players to be permitted in playing XI's for the next 2 seasons apparently.
BBL clubs to be allowed three overseas players in XI
The number of star names on show in the tournament has been a topic of debate but there was concern about stopping local talentwww.espncricinfo.com

I was actually wondering whether Inglis might move down the order - especially to further his international chances.
Not even sure Bancroft is a walk up start anymore
We could even whack in another specialist middle order bat as our third international. The bowling is strong enough.
According to the CA article about marquee players posted yesterday Pooran has decided not to seek a BBL contract this season any more. The extra 1.8m in the salary cap now might change his mind now though..We could even whack in another specialist middle order bat as our third international. The bowling is strong enough.

The last international is outside the capBowling depth is a challenge though.
Also given the "talent" we have - i do wonder whether we'd have salary cap for another international.
The Aus side needs someone to prosper at 6.
With the likes of Warner, Finch, Philippe, Stoinis et al all doing well at the top of the order - we have never had a consistent late order finisher.
If Inglis could fill that role as a power late order hitter - it would put plenty of pressure on Carey.
