You need to have a read of The Finals Countdown Thread. Apparently if you expect to lose it makes victory even sweeter and defeat easier to swallow. It's like the Betty Ford Clinic for Bigfooty, or Philosophy and Psychology 101 rolled into one with a smattering of Defeasible Reasoning and Epistemic Defeat (don't be too impressed, I had to look them up)

No, he is pissed that they didn't name it Franklin Stadium in his honour, and rightfully so.

I remember last year's game was actually pretty even in most aspects and it was one of the few games where we actually had more inside 50s than our opponent. But their All Australian defender in Ryan was awarded BOG that night, while our All Australian defender in Rampe was on the sidelines.

In a match where there was literally only 26 scoring shots between both sides for the whole game (!!), their back line's ability to limit our forwards far surpassed our back line's ability to limit their forwards.

So I'm convinced last year's game was an anomaly. Freo are rubbish.

True, no game is ever a gimmee.

Yes, they may have a hoodoo over us over there for some inexplicable reason.

But COME ON folks!

So far, this current iteration of the Swans has spanked the reigning premiers, claimed the scalps of the runner-up and a prelim finalist, and has only itself been soundly beaten in one game this season.

Nothing is for sure in life, but it's ridiculous to go all Chicken Little on this encounter.
