Justin Longmuir was out of contract in 2022 but got a 2 year extension at the start of the year.

half of us are debating on being too early to giving him the extension. The other half want to keep him for stability.

gotta go stability.
Dockers won't be challenging for a flag this year or next, but the list build is super impressive.
give him time to work on it, get 50+ games into the last 2 years draftees and see where you are in 2024.

try and keep Darcy fit too! :p

Doesn't look good for Noble but its only 3 games into year 2, plenty of time to turn it around. They started poorly last year and were good enough for where they're at the second half of last season.

North are a 3-5 year project given their list build. That may be accelerated slightly if they can trade in some high end players around that 24 age bracket.

Makes no sense to even think about turfing noble.

when did Voss join Port?
Top 4 team
He leaves
Port 0-3
Carlton 3-0
He joined us at the end of 2014 after Phil Walsh got the Adelaide job and Voss replaced him as our midfield coach.

He was awful working with our midfield in the first few years. Boak dropped right off from his AA form in 2013/14 and even Ebert and Wines also struggled to have consistent impact after he took over. Polec unsurprisingly didn't like him after already working with him under Brisbane too.

At the end of 2018 however, Voss was promoted to senior assistant. Which I felt as a whole suited us much better, and allowed him to put more time into his craft in preparation for getting a gig elsewhere.

I personally think Schofield was a bigger assistant coaching loss for us at the end of last year. That being said I think Voss did improve overtime working with us. Either way he was with us for about 7 years, so I'm not surprised his absence has been felt.

Who would have thought a dual AFL coach of the year is on the chopping block after round 3.

One question.. who would take his place? Chad Cornes or try and woo clarkson back over...

Clarkos not gonna go to port it will be either gold coast or gws in sure the AFL have already gauranteed him if not one it will be the other. He won't wanna work in the Adelaide bubble and has said he wants to be part of bettering the entire game.

would be 4 coaches in 3 years if we did.

We'd want to see improvement though during the year, which could be possible if Cunners, Jed, Thomas, LDU all return in the guts, and we start getting games into Comben and Perez.

If we don't, luring Clarko home could be tempting.

Not happening he's going to coach the new Tassie side. The only holdup is they're waiting on Tazhawk get the ok from his mum for Clarko to move in with them until suitable accommodation can be found

Port will be 0-5 and season over. Ken will be sacked by the bye. Montgomery caretaker. Absolute tank mode and hopefully go and get clarko.
Didn't he sign a new deal at the end of last year?

If so, the salary cap hit on the soft cap would be too great to sack him

Port play Melbourne and Carlton in the next two weeks, if they lose both and go 0-5, Kochie will blow a gasket and sack Kenny!
Kochie too soft to make the decision which should've been made already. Don't forget Hinkley held Port to ransom for the GCS interest and Koch bit the bullet and extended him. Koch too pigheaded to own up to his shortcomings much like Kenneth.

Port have been regular finals contenders under Kenny, but i think it is correct that he has not had the support of the fans? The call could be made in the next few weeks? He does have a 59% winning record 121-84 in this his 10th season.
