Most were at the centre bounce. Did you see the free against Nank for shepherding in the ruck in the centre bounce, jumped up like ruckman have done forever and palmed the ball down, yet got done for shepherding, with his hip. Nonsense. It's a lottery.
When it comes to umpires we seem to always lose the lottery

Reckon if we had e of just gone with grimes we’d be better off.
I’m saying that, cotch struggled with the captaincy for his first few years and needed time to make it his own, this is probably why they have nank too as he obviously will be around a lot longer than grimey

Not a fan. Didn't work leadership wise in 2022.

Too many close losses, lack of communication on field, poor example setting with stupid free kicks handed to the opposition..etc.

Yes we know the umps cane us, but don't be reckless.

Happy for it to be turned around but captains need to lift. Play smarter.
Grimes had a whole new backline to try and gel with Gibcus, Tarrant. Miller, Balta fwd & back. Rioli new and Baker back. injury interrupted season too
and new "C" next to his name.
He and Nank will grow into the role

Also, Trent took a few years to prove he was the best captain in the history of the world. 😍

captains smaptains, they will both toss the coin and do most of the grinding media work and be a presence for all with promotions and functions.....GRIMES will be head honcho of our back 6-9....Nanc will marshall our 6-8 rotating mids an offer them protection and positioning and jackR and Cotch will be on field coaches/motivates for our forward line functioning in an organised manner. the rest will be following instuctions and contributing.

both guys had their injury troubles last year
I think that coupled with their personal form and the form of the side created pressure on them
and it didn't appear to work well last year
but with the off season to let the dust settle ,fingers crossed they are more comfortable in the role of joint captain
and can be back to more like their personal best

With all the experience we have, not to mention that our old previous greatest Captain in the history of the game is still playing, does it really matter?

Both are well respected and know their s**t cant see it having any negative impact on our season.

Having said that one Captain is my prefered option.
