I was pleased for Bont that he actually decided to show up this week, after some absolutely putrid performances this year

Daics never phones it in, what a season he is compiling

Yeah he definitely stepped it up in the last quarter.
Perhaps his opponent went kick chasing in the backline while he set about winning the game for his side?

Whoever was matched against him certainly let him go to town.

Pies nuffies trying to convince others that Walsh is a squib is almost as cringe as their attempts at making the 'Blues Shakes' happen last year :tearsofjoy: Everyone knows Walsh is tougher over the ball than Nicky boy will ever be... Goatie shirks more contests than Josh Schache in his prime.

The numbers suggest otherwise

Daics wins his own ball, Walsh is a receiver [emoji106]

Plus they are hiding in their own little safe haven thread and don't have the Balls or Guts to open up a thread about Walsh being a squib .
Waiting for that thread to appear on the main board just to see how long it takes for it to be shot down.
Have some balls guys and do it

Great quarter by Bont and partially makes up for all the sub-20 possession games he's had this year in big losses

Great to see the old champs bob up and have a big quarter now and then

Wow these insecure Pie fans paying out on Walsh. Wait until he hits 5th gear 😱 (not that kind of gear, understandable if you Maggies get that one confused)
Yes winning the flag last year has made us pies supporters feel very insecure.

Our enjoyment of the irony of Sam Walsh getting 20% less contested footy than that "uncontested seagull" Nick Daicos this year is something you Carlton supporters have brought upon yourself.

Probably because he's got Cripps, Kennedy and Hewett trying to feed him the ball lmao. Doesn't change the fact that Walsh never takes a backwards step. Nicky boy does. Frequently.
Haven't seen Daics taking any backwards steps lately

He's dominating all day, winning his own ball and going to win all the awards in his 3rd year

Others bob up now and then but it's always Daics either best or 2nd best on ground

Slowly, slowly, you are running out of ideas how to put Nick down and try to make Walsh look better.

It would be easier and far less embarrassing for you to just concede and change your username.

And that's how Collingwood would love Daicos' possessions to be EVERY week, with Mitchell and De Goey getting it to Nick to be the finisher.

Walsh isn't exactly a finisher in the same way as Nick is, is he?
“whisper” =276th in the AFL for efficiency.

Thankfully Sam isn’t in the same ballpark!

No player who crosses the line to play AFL is a squib and anybody who says otherwise, has obviously never played football at any decent level.

As for what "everybody" knows about these two players, there is a poll for the comparison.

We all know who Carlton supporters will say, same as we know who Collingwood supporters will say.

General consensus though is that people would rather Nick, though I wouldn't expect for you to ever admit to that.

That would mean someone would care enough about Walsh to dedicate a thread on the Main Board to him.

As if....

The closest he got was the Daicos v. Walsh poll, and that's already been run and won despite the clear victor being three years his junior...

But it's not a daicos v Walsh thing. It's a Walsh is a squib thing. Do you think Walsh is a squib as well ? You remained quiet on that issue thus far

Sam Walsh highlights in general are hard to find

Very few goals, not many CPs

Just handball receives and agricultural hoofs down the line, what a career [emoji1787]

Funny how this Collingwood created thread assuming Nick Daicos’ will be GOAT has become a comparison to Sam Walsh.

Much like Collingwood itself, falling short of the (contested) mark.

There is no Daicos V Walsh, as it is only a few Carlton supporters clutching straws with this one.
I don't know why it is even entertained, or why Sam even gets mentioned.

Sam Walsh is a great player but not on the same level.
And there is nothing wrong with that.

As for Walsh being a squib, absolute madness and troll worthy to suggest.

There is no player in the AFL who is a "squib". If they were, they just wouldn't make it.
Any suggestion otherwise, is just keyboard warriors with little to no clue.
They are all brave, they are all skilled and the perceived worst of the AFL would still be streets ahead of any person on this site.

If you go back through the chain, you'll find it was a Carlton supporter who introduced Walsh to the discussion last night [emoji106]

It's Sammy the seagull not Sammy the Squib. No AFL player is a squib!

Where do I find these squib stats you must be referring to to make your objective assessment?

YOU have been consistently calling Daicos an uncontested seagull. I can refer you to unbiased, objective stats that prove that your boy is 20% more of an "uncontested seagull" than Daicos is.

Hard pill to swallow when your user name is "walsisthegoat". I get that. But sometimes you just gotta concede if you want to maintain any sort of credibility.

Walsh is coming second in the "Fadge's Coaches award if you don't take into account missed games". He extended his lead over ND on the weekend. Would probably be leading if Crippa could stop taking votes off him

The bloke is nearly 3 years older and still not performing as a great as Nick. Lets see if Walshy could kick a goal this week.

Maybe his third for the season. Incredibly Maynard has kicked more goals than Walsh this year. Richards has kicked more, Harrison has doubled his tally plus some more and Sullivan has kicked the same. Mr Impact
