Be better WA.

11k attendance day 1 of the summer. Utterly abysmal and showing they’re not cut out for first test of the summer.
Eh, it's mid-week, the series has received no promotion and we're playing an opponent which doesn't draw crowds. There'd be at least double if we were playing South Africa here, for instance.

Starting mid week, basically no advertising and playing a team that we will probably beat before the weekend is a recipe for a bad crowd. actually surprised they got 11k.

Wednesday start, minnow opposition and widespread WA discontent with the team, its actually higher than I thought.
The fact its better than the Melbourne ODI in a city half the population is an indictment on Victorians.
Maybe we should take boxing day if we're not cut out for the first test.

I think there's a fair contingent of ex-pat South Africans living in Perth as well.
Yep, hence the stronger crowds. The Windies attract very little away support compared to the other test nations.

Wish we had 5 tests against SA

Unlike Viccos we actually have jobs...

Today was also a forecast high of 35.
About time a state of leaners prop up the nation. Been carried for nearly 100 years ;)

Doubt it is the first mid week start we’ve seen in Aus.
