Here's the thread for discussion of the Australian Open. It gets underway on Monday January 14, which is still a week away.

TV Coverage: Seven everyday from 11am AEDST with coverage of all day and night sessions with 7Two taking coverage during the News between 6-7pm. Check your local gudies for more details. Fox Sports has coverage of outside courts in the first 8 days in HD. They'll be mainly showing Hisense.

at the moment, Matsovic, Tomic, Hewitt and Ebden will qualify for the main Draw, Plus WC to Millman, Duckworth, Mitchell, Saville, and Patrick Smith. Millman is the highest ranked of the WC at 191...

For the women, Stosur (9) and Dellacqua qualify.

Does anyone know if more tickets are likely to be released for the men's final? Already sold out, I thought last year they were available much later

Cant see anyone topping Djokovic in the mens.
For the womens, if Stosur is knocked out, then I hope Serena wins and returns to the world no1. Easily the best player in the world and the only reason she doesn't have the top spot is minimal playing commitments at smaller tournaments.

They are behind the court, section 35 on one day and 42 on another, row r or something liek that. Generally get pretty good seats at Hisense

Ah yep Yeah, I'm in the upper seats as well, section 48 and 55, they were the best I could get to being behind the court wise.

Im in 46 for both days. 51 and 57 for the night. Couldnt get any better ones for the night session.

Went down today watched a martathon between Kokkanakis and Steve Johnson lasted almost 4 hours with Johnson winning 6-4 5-7 17-15
