I’m not saying that there is nothing coming back our way, we could trade our first with a second coming back and take Robertson. Gives us points for our academy players. No way will we be getting ahead of the draft next year with our 2 academy players

I’m going to disagree with you there. I don’t see either of the academy guys in the top 5. That leaves a gap for us to get ahead of the bid and there’s no way I would be giving up that option just yet.

I’ll admit there’s still a way to go. Media is full of Williams being a bolter today.... he was a potential no.1 this time last year.

It was an endurance test for them and viewers (me too) to last through the first round, and they had a clue about them!
Good effort though.
No way they could blather that long for all the remaining draft!
They surely will post frequent progressive updates?

Do they realise how stupid Gil looked when he took 10 secs to walk out on stage to announce a pick?
Couldn't the $AFL afford a second microphone for him to stand to one side (so we didn't have to see him too often)?

Wouldn't take too much thinking to hand the mike over to a few other people, have the picks come in a bit quicker etc
They could just discuss the pick made, and how it likely helps the team making it....
Have someone there for an AFL fantasy take on some potential bargains?
They're supposed to be in the entertainment business.
