Disagree. We would quite likely still get Kemp around 9.
No chance

If there's no point having 9, why would Geelong take that trade?
Florent? personally, id have him ahead of mcinerney, hayward, and probably rowbottom and mccartin.
Love how we can just throw in or dump a contracted player as trade bait. FFS, reading this thread while away on work and can't believe the what I'm seeing.

Saw in this article that Phillips is on a short list for Essendon. Maybe a trade is starting to form...

Bombers' hard-line stance on Joe Daniher not matched behind the scenes
Essendon's public posturing about the 'irreplaceable' Joe Daniher is a different story to what's taking place in discussions with Sydney.7news.com.au
Swans out: Papley, 25
In: Daniher
Carlton out: Phillips, Pick 9
In: Papley
Essendon Out: Daniher
In: Phillips, Pick 9, Pick 25
Maybe a few other minor pick swaps.
He is Extremely Limited!
It's called hypothetico deductive reasoning. Most develop the ability around adolescence. One or two well out of their pram Kap.
Harley The Head Honcho has had a hacking over Joe The Groin, yet no trade has transpired to date....Fascinating really the reactions to something that hasn't happened.
It was in quotation marks.
He has an inside and an outside game. Good speed. Can kick a goal. Only 21.He is Extremely Limited!
'happy to let go' implies a direct quote from the club that we are happy to let Reid go

He is no Stefan Carey.
No chance

More like Gareth Evans take for Fu 6yo.
Probably reading posts on bigfooty and was like "eh, close enough"seriously? lol
there is no quote from sydney.
the direct quote, is from Jon Ralph just speculating on who we may give up to please essendon. And it isnt even a 'direct' quote.
It is just click bait nonsense.
It isn't even Ralph's fault cause he isnt saying anything about how we want to, are going to, or plan to give reid. Just that if a player could satisfy essendon, he might be one.
Headed over to the Essendon board for a laugh, 2 types of posts.
Swans need to pay up because Joe is contracted and they want him.
Bonar should be cheap due to his injury history but despite him being contracted
Thought I’d brush off the old username and join the conversation/bitching. I’m hoping by the end of the trade window this user name won’t be an appropriate description of our efforts.
Anyway, my 2c worth for this trade window.
It’s time to show some teeth and stay strong. We often get shat on from a great height by the AFL and Vic clubs/media. No free lunches for other teams this time around and the media rabble can do one.
Daniher is a great player (or) was a great player (or) might again be a great player (or) is totally knackered. There’s a lot of unknowns there. The known is he will cost a lot in picks and cap space. We should be offering according to those risks and balance that out against imminent need and value next year. He costs us nothing next year or bankrupts us this year. Anyone remember us signing Bradshaw.... and what that promised.... how did that turn out again.
I’d offer next years first and 25 - nothing more. Next years first is about what they would get if he walked but they can access it and trade it now, 25 would be their no.1 pick as it currently stands. Points for next year are next years problem. I wouldn’t be allowing Dodoro to drag us into endless negotiations.
Papley... we’ll I’m gutted. If we lose him on top of F/S’s Mitchell and Dunkley not wanting us it looks ugly. He’s not even played 100 games to have F/S offspring either.
Anyway, Carlton and Geelong gave us the blueprint with Gibbs and Kelly and Brisbane set the current market with Cameron.
It’s pick 9 or it’s nothing and he stays. I don’t know his circumstances but I’d absolutely back his professionalism and our support structures for one extra year. If that want something back it should be expletives. They can find currency for Martin from some other sucker. Papley is proven, a leader, still young and there is nothing in the draft in that position that is obviously better.
Jones.... hmmm. I think he’s worth pick 15-25. We know we’ll get unders and also know any future is going to slide massively. I don’t think there is much angle to work with on this trade, either way dont let this drag on and remind them that they owe us. I really wanted us to draft Acres a few years back.... maybe player is the way to go? If picks then try for 18 with something going back. Shit club he’s chosen and a shit trade window to do it too...
Not yours, his girlfriend's!Pressing family reasons my arse!
Please no! 5&9 is too much by itself. That's what you give up for a Kelly or a Cameron. 9&Reid I could accept.i agree
but if sydney are floating reid out i get the feeling they are willing to do 5 9 and reid
reid has to agree though, not sure he would want to go to essendon

Well it is all about bums on seats, not premierships.i can’t help but feel our list management team has lost the plot wasting time on this Daniher trade. We have a lot of needs in which a key forward is not one. We finally have high end draft picks to properly address our midfield and look set to lose them. Is the marketing team now running recruitment
