Martin - 63.68% disposal efficiency (rank 432)

Dangerfield - 62.62% disposal efficiency (rank 449)

Do you feel the same way about Dustin Martin? They have basically the same DE.

honestly thats surprising. i didnt know dusty was that low with his DE.

well i guess he sucks too then

You continue to state that Parker's a poor inside mid due to his lack of inside 50s. The pure role of an INSIDE Mid is to get the ball in the congestion and distribute it to the outside runners. As a result, a very successful inside mid should not get many inside 5os. They should be based on one stat, and one stat alone and that is clearances.

Parker = swans champ

No stats required

It’s a myth that the SCG is small.

Play on..
Yup, another one of those "facts" that is just wrong. The SCG surface is just 6m shorter and 2m narrower than the MCG. It is basically the same size as the Gabba and Metricon (all dimensions within 3m of each other). It is 5m shorter but 6m wider than Etihad.

Shouldn't let the truth get in the way of good stories.

I really hope there is a time in the next couple of years that Parker can play exclusively as a Half Forward. He would be fantastic in that position. Basically Toby Greene without the BS.

Nearly a week on and I am absolutely giddy with optimism about our draft haul. Just seeing pictures from today's training session, and seeing McDonald, and thinking, 'How the **** did we end up with the best pure forward in the draft?'

And then seeing Campbell, and thinking 'How the **** did we end up with the best kick in the draft?'

And then seeing Gulden, and thinking, 'How is a kid this good only the cherry on top?'

Gardiner and Beatson (in this members forum) not filling me with much confidence that we can expect much activity in free agency and trade in the next couple of years.

We don’t need to trade for much anyway

Tyson Stengle is going to need to get out of Rads. Possible mid season snag?

Druggie with poor driving skills and obviously zero self control.

No thank you.

I feel the same especially now the cream is kicking in and the rash is abating things are coming up Mark for change.

Actually it is all about the cream.

I am not sure it is something that can be planned out several years in advance.

Whether our young players improve will determine what our list needs are. And if we have to use our salary cap to retain players other teams want to poach.

=---=

Though when Franklin's contract ends, I don't think there is any guarantee that we are going to trade in multiple big name expensive players. We usually trade in a big name key forward if a suitable one is available and build the rest of the list through drafting and trading in lower profile players.

There will definitely be a few young players coming through requiring a bigger wage. Hopefully we can manage expectations so they can compare themselves to their teammates and not expect too much. it's been interesting over the past couple of weeks looking at Collingwood's salary cap issues and comparing them to Richmond who has a few in the top tier but managed their cap well. Ultimately you need to firm about paying players because the minute you overpay one, the rest start getting antsy. You might lose a couple along the way but if they love playing for the club they will be prepared to take slightly less than what other clubs might be throwing at them.
