Been banging on for years that our mids lack size.

We haven't had a big sized mid since Jobe retired we have an opportunity to get a generational mid in Horne but don't think we will finish low enough to get him he's North pick

You know Horne is only 183cm right?

Josh Sinn is the perfect player for our squad but I worry we are playing a little too well at the moment to get him.

Forget about the draft picks but the astute recruitment of role players and the price paid for them proves he is fairly reasonable at what he does.

Sure the club as a whole has failed but the push has finally come to shove and been directed the way we have can only be a good thing.

With further top end pick(s) possibly at years end, some talented F/S’s coming in the next year or two, Dodoro is going to be a busy lad in the coming off seasons.

Yes, he may ‘win’ off seasons but truth be told, the club has failed Dodoro just as much. Each year he does what’s best for the club and with this latest reset, a proper forward thinking coach can use the role players AD has brought in.

Who knows how blame should be apportioned but let’s be honest it’s mind blowing that not only has the finger never been pointed at him internally he seems to be held in higher stead each passing year.

Re-watch his post trade window press conference. He said Essendon's future first was firmly off the table and never being traded under any circumstance.

Hence the trade fell over. The Dogs wanted the future first and one last year's firsts. We will to do one of last year's firsts only.

Watch the post window press conference. He said future first was totally out of the question.

The deal probably would've gotten done with a future first + future second, but Dodoro thought Essendon were getting a top 2 pick and refused to back his club to do better.
