After Tarryn Thomas was sacked by North, who are the biggest busts in footy history?

Some come into mind include Liam Jurrah, Jack Watts, Jono O'Rourke, Jarrod Pickett and Richard Tambling.

Tambling was famously picked over Buddy by Richmond 20 years ago in the 2004 AFL Draft. Another one was Aaron Fiora in '99.

Liam Jurrah has to be right up there. Played under 50 games but he was so memorable, and very talented.

Just a shame he was a s**t human being.

Add tarryn Thomas to this list

Tambling played over 100 AFL games, there's 100s of bigger busts than him.

Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls was far worse @ pick 8. Rumor has it that Greg Miller selected him without having ever seeing him play live.

Courtney Johns. A lot of it had to do with injuries but he never became the messiah Essendon fans were hoping for.

We took Tim Walsh at pick four and got one game out of him. Injury played its part but he never really looked like it.

Fergus Watts an elite kid and showed great signs that he would be a AA quality forward. Broke his ankle that bad he couldn't play again.

He was injury plagued but Scott Gumbleton comes to mind. 35 games over 7 years. Some pretty handy players were selected after him: Boak, Selwood, Frawley, Riewoldt.

And minus the injuries i reckon he would have had a stellar career. Had such a great leap and set of hands
