Reckon the Dees will take this one. Might depend on any potential team changes.
Will Dees get Oliver back? McDonald? Tomlinson?

Cerra was 2-3 weeks and this game will be 2 weeks since he did his hammy.
Kennedy is back running, but probably too early for him.
SOS apparently trained last week without bracing, so could be a chance.
Walsh was 1-2 weeks and seems to have superhuman healing powers, so wouldn't count him out.
Was even some rumours a couple weeks ago that Harry being listed as 4-6 weeks and might be ready after 3.

Would be some huge ins for us if even 1-2 of those were available, but still think Dees might put the brakes on us.
Don't know about the whole "loss they need to have" thing, but might not hurt to drop one here and regroup to win the last 2 and still take some momentum into finals.

full strength I'd give us a chance. with our depleted list this could be a bridge too far, even for Charlie Curnow.

Dees are equal flag favourites for a reason.

Carlton to continue on its run and pile on the pressure in the forward line.
We are a lot better than when these 2 played each other last time. Melbourne should be genuinely worried.

Considering the respective outs.

Melbournes Midfield to win.

Carlton’s defence to win.

Carlton’s forwards/Melbourne’s defence - this will be the difference and where the game is decided

Reckon this will be a belter. If Oliver can come back that'll help us a lot but no Petty just as our forward line looked good has me really concerned.

We are up against it if we don’t at least halve it out of the centre.

We are a great clearance side - hoping some troops back to assist this week.

We'd be crazy not to be worried. You are a good team in good form, but we'd back our best to beat yours. However our best better be our best. Interesting how our weekend games were similar - slow starts but coming home hard. I think the side that has a 15 minute flat spot will find the game over before they know it.

This Carlton team has genuinely shocked me, it doesn't even feel like the Carlton I've supported all my life. I would usually laugh at people saying we will won this, now, i just don't know,. anything can and seems to happen.

Question for the Melbourne supporters though, when you see you are playing Carlton this week, is your reaction, oh s**t we got Carlton this week? Is it oh we got Carlton easy win? Or is it eh we should win but they might cause some trouble?

The way we are playing we are a real chance. I don't think the Demons are playing well and I struggle to see how they will kick a winning score

Boyd will be back but likely Walsh Cerra McGovern another week

Now who is the other flag fav. we beat recently.....?

Who will kick their goals?
Our defence is watertight at present and even without Gov I cant see them kicking a winning score.

Charlie wont be kept to one goal two weeks in a row either IMO.

We win in a tight one. :thumbsu:

The last

Over the past 3 years the team has proven it can win big games so there isn't really any games we go into that I think we can't win

Hopefully your mob can kick more than 44 points and make it an interesting game this time
