I personally saw Mahoney munching on a meat pie on friday...he was pain free...as i said, a few stitches dont hurt...take some pain killers, its a prelim!!

You have to seriously question his heart and commitment to the club...he should retire, not up to it anymore.

You obviously didnt so the comment is interesting.....30 stitches one week eating a pie the next ( are you serious?)

Surely this is a wind up.

King Deledio,

I had the honour of playing alongside Luke Mahoney for well over 10 years, you will not finder a harder, tougher, team - orientated player in the whole Association........... shite comment from an ill informed, metro-sexual loving homo !!! **** off back to the Richmond board you oxygen thief !!!!!!!!!

Yeah, coz kicking the sh*t out of someone will really solve Mahoney's lack of heart and SKOBs prelim final loss! You must have real heart and toughness about you too with comments like this. Good on ya mate! and btw, BRING IT ON!!
Well PM me and I will bring it on. You have no idea who you are talking too and what I am capable of, just do me the favour and meet with me, we shall see who has heart.
BTW, your identity will be found out, people on here always are.
Fishburn, great comment.

Correct, Brian. Absolutely correct.

Guaranteed to be a wind-up. Anyone seriously considering potting the great Luke Mahoney might as well line up to shoot Bambi as well.

Post-season shenanigans for sure.

Isn't the coaching ad just to conform with the club constitution? It would be Barney's for the taking wouldn't it?
They still have to interview the applicants.
I see Old Timekeepers , sorry Old Camberwell have advertised for a new coach as Loats has got a AFL coaching role, amazing with OC's record in the last couple of years.

Correct.

Last year the Ormond administration advertised for the coaching positions in the week leading up to their grand final appearance.

Weirdest coaching advert ever seen.

Only Mick Malthouse would have a ghosts chance, bedford.:) My understanding is Barney's already formulating plans for a quick return to 'B' grade.

Geez! Agreeing with me Cardio. This has to stop.:D

Don't get too excited AM, I was confirming your enquiry.

In regard to the 2nd statement, not sure Barney is safe at the moment.

If I had as many friends in and around the committee as Barney, I'd feel very comfortable. Plus, he coached the club to a premiership in 2008 and this year had an horrendous run with injuries in the second half of the year. You do have a propensity to confidently make predictions on matters about which you know not that much.

Bedders, Loater has had that job all year at Melbourne. I dont know why OC would say that he has just got the job in the AFL, its almost dishonest to the next applicants. 3 coaches in 3 years at OC, what is really going on down there off field? Tim Killworth will get the gig there IMO.

Sorry Ammo Man, Cardio has great mail. I believe that Barney was almost sacked 3 games before the end of the season and survived a vote by the skin of his teeth.
I would suggest Robbins would be an inspired choice for the club to rejuvenate itself next year.

mmm, we shall see.

It may not be the committee that makes the decision, as per his last 2 clubs.

I believe he should be there next year, no problem.

Let the process take its course.

maybe the same succession plan they deployed at St Bedes. BS?

Look at the success of that plan.

Ah, but St Bedes wasnt player driven like I believe Ormond's is. And a draw in the first semi isnt such a bad year for Owen, he will bounce back strong next year.

Smoke signals from Gunn Reserve to Righetti Oval. A long way for smoke to travel. The Monders just don't sack coaches during the season, so I find your rumour hard to believe.

No question that Matty would bring a lot to the table as a coach. He would have acquired considerable knowledge during those years under Rocket Eade. However, he's very valuable as a player and the ammos outdated captain/coach rules pretty much rule that out. It was a major reason why Shanners didn't pull on the boots when O.H were languishing early in the year. Probably Loates too.

We won't have to wait too long for it all to become clear.

Addendum:
While we are on the Monders. Things are looking rosy for the future. See here. Now to the 'C' board and no Cardio - phew!

Great result, especially for my mate cappa.

As I'm a purveyor of Ammo footy, if I have some "news or views" I'll shoot down to C Grade to have a natter with ya Ammo.

Great to see your getting more involved.

all the best

cheers

CC

Wow - i don't think he has ever been called that b4. After discussions with him over the last 48 hours i think you'll find he IS playing on in 2010, i hope for your sake you are not.

On a brighter note - well done to B Gee & Sheeds on sensational careers at SKOB, two true servants who will be sadly missed. Well done gents.

Congrats also to OTs too big & strong on the w-e in another disgraceful windy day at EP - please shut that joint down now!! Hopefully wind won't ruin what should be a cracker of a GF. If its not windy i lean to OMs....

EP is generally always inclement in some way or another at this time of the year... the better teams adapt, but i agree, would love VAFA finals at any other decent ground (junction, vicpark or whereever)

Anyone got the run down from B and F vote count...
well done to iezzi, he is a star
