Rohan may struggle.

I am liking this post on "baby cow" which made me chuckle

The real challenge will be getting the balance between name, form and structure right.

The game against St Kilda has really thrown many (good) curve balls.

I don't think we have a single settled section of the ground.

A lot of brave calls could be probably won't be made. ie can a midfield core of Selwood and Danger get the job done or do we try something else.

Do we use Rohan and Menegola as opposed to what we've used week to week during the season.

How do we fit in all of good ball users in while keeping a solid defensive structure. Duncan wasn't doing a lot of chasing on the weekend

One of the truely scary things I suspect for any opposition we play will be knowing that there is no "Danger" or "Selwood" or "Stewart" that if they can tag them out of the game we're a weaker team.

As others have said, I also agree that players selected might depend on the opposition. Impossible to know which way the MC will go come finals. Can definitely see them giving another 3 odd players a rest this week, before trying to settle on something that looks like a best 22 for the West Coast game.

I'd think Atkins over MOC for finals. Harder at it, doesn't fumble, still has positional flexibility.

Miers has been adding a decent amount to compliment the other forwards. Depends whether they favour his skill set or Rohan's speed/pressure/marking. I actually think Menegola could be a great option as a high impact sub, especially if any one across the midfield group went down. He has quarters where he racks it up 10 times and sets up or kicks goals. And, the pace is naturally not as high which in finals might be Sam's weakness.

What is great about the current side being so versatile, is that almost anybody that goes down (except for perhaps Stanley & Hawkins) can just be replaced by the next best available player, rather that having to go like-for-like. There are very few positions for which we don't have backup coverage already in the best 22.

Touhy with 22 disposals a game, over 400m gained and ability to play well at HBF, wing and HFF - he won't be dropped to sub. One of our most robust and reliable performers this season.

You have to pick though or else it's a best 23 thread (24 if you have your sub and still an extra). No matter the difficulty.

Moc and zuthrie (unlucky)

That means unselecting two defenders who have played most of the games this season. Both have been in good form. I'm thinking if we lose a defender during a game then with a defender on the bench we can cover. If we lose a forward then Henry can fill in and we need a defensive player to fill the gap.

I guess someone has to be unlucky. I suspect there will be one or two injuries that dictates selection.

Your 22 is the closest one to mine. I’d rather Miers over Rohan however because he’s gone missing in twenty/too many finals.
