WTF are people talking about re dropping Jenkins?

18 poss , 6 marks and an inspirational goal.

GTFO

Those stats surprised me. Maybe the sitters he missed coloured my view and that of others. I think JJ is going to be a good forward with a bit of experience and when he tidies up his kicking. At present he seems to have a bit of trouble reading the flight. Often he is not under the fall of the ball and is not hitting the packs hard enough. For someone of his limited experience he has been called upon to shoulder a heavy load this year. I think a week off would do him good. Plus I do want to see what LJ brings to our forward line.

Because he played better than, and offered more than Mackay yesterday? I was shocked to see Mackay had 25 touches given how little I saw him actually receive, run and usefully deliver the ball. Tambling made a couple of mistakes, but otherwise made space, picked good options kicking forward and hit targets more often than not.

You don't have to convince me son. I was referring to the Tambling haters.

Whoever Crowley tags (Douglas or Sloane) needs to then tag Mundy or Barlow. Stick to them like glue and leave one of our boys free.

In addition to every Crow bumping and niggling Crowley at every opportunity of course.

Would anyone consider thommo as the sub?

I mean you could do a lot worse. Doesnt seem to be able to get thru 3/4 of a game at the moment, probably more like a half.

Would mean we would bring in a very wise head that can rack up disposals towards the end of the game. You could chuck him in the middle and have no fears. Everyone would be slowed up to almost his speed as well. :D

If Thommo isn't right to play a full game then he shouldn't be playing. The kind of role he plays does not lend itself well to somebody who isn't 100%, or at least close to it.

The only reason I suggested Jenkins be demoted is that the bloke looks like he's about to cry every time he has a set shot at the moment. Not because he is not contributing to the team overall. He was good yesterday, but perhaps it might be better for him long term to take him out of the spotlight while he fixes up his yips. I still maintain he is fundamentally a good kick, but has lost all semblance of confidence.

As for Tambling, the equation is simple. If we really are thinking about hanging onto him next year, he should stay in the team and be given an opportunity. His performance yesterday wasn't world beating, but it wasn't enough to put a line through his name either. On the other hand, the minute we make the call that he's not part of the future, he should be out and should not return, regardless of how well he's playing.

RichardMarx will kill me but I would have Lyons as the sub. Does not have the engine to play a full game and will be exposed on Subiaco. There is serious talent there, just needs to work on the tank. Having said that, I wouldn't be waiting until 3/4 time to pull the trigger on the sub. Early 3rd quarter and give the guy an opportunity to impact the game.

After a really solid month? I don't think so. His clean pickups of the ball late were crucial as well.

He's had a solid month, but he hasn't set the world on fire, and we know what we get from Porps.

We need to find out what we'd get from LJ - the next month is as good a time as any.

More to do with LJ than anything to do with Porps.

Dangerfield in for Thompson
If Dangerfield dosen't make it.
Thompson out---------- L.J. in

How is Dangerfield going to play. Didn't he have his arm in a sling at your last game? No way he is getting up for a fiercely contested game against Freo.

Dangerfield will play. As will Tex. They both love playing against Freo too much to let minor things like slings and crutches get in the way.

Matty Wright will also recover from a bout of scurvy to rock up and cash in.

Well in that case, let's bring in Kepler and Griffin. Their both on crutches too but heck, it will be an exciting game. :thumbsu:

LJ continues to prove he is too good for SANFL. The question unanswered is is he good enough for AFL. He would add another dimesion to our forward line for sure and ifhis time isn't now then I don't see him ever getting a game. Good long kicking is never more valuable than against freo.

Who comes out? I'd go for Thommo out and Lyons to move tothe middle. If too tall or slow up forward then we can sub out LJ, porps, otten or really whoever is playing worst up there.

Seems that people are getting caught up with notion he's a permanent forward but he contributes plenty around the ground as well . Got plenty of it in defence and around midfield yesterday

I'm all for LJ getting a run ( if for no other reason than he was my tip in the big improver thread ).

Just seems a structural issue more than anything. Against Freo we went small in defence due to match ups which freed Otten to play a tag on Taylor. I think it might work that way again this week with Otten to take Johnson.

This squeezes out LJ from a fwd spot as they are unlikely to play all of Lynch , Otten and Johnson.

Expect a fired up Freo this week according to Lyon on 6PR tonight. Sandilands to definately play after recovering from the flu. Suban likely to come in. Viv Michie also a possibility.

A bit of friendly advice to your mob... As far as stopping freos main clearance mids. Barlow and Mundy our our 2 main inside mids. Fyfe would be a close 3rd but will play on the forward flank because of our lack of forward options.

Also another thing that should be worth noting... Danyle Pearce has been solid at Freo this season. Why? Despite having less disposal compared at Port last season, He has been damaging and Scoring goals as well. Taberner might come in as he is our only available tall forward. Other than that, Freos forwards will be small and medium sized mids and a Resting ruckman of Sandi/Clarke.

McPharlin is a bigger loss compared to Pav and Sandi. Ballantyne is injured sadly. Oh and one last thing... Beware of Ryan "bum pincher" Crowley!":D

Despite Tex and Patty injured, I still would not underestimate your mob.

Just step on Sandi's toes at the first bounce...out for the season.:p

Outs:
Thommo (Needs a rest can't play out a full game and Freo in the west is no place for passengers),
Porps (Rest. He did a few things, but not enough when in the middle similar to Thommo. Want to keep Grigg in for another game.)
Otto (Rest don't see a match up in the backline and LJ is a better forward.)
Ins:
Danger if fit. Trained in the freezing rain and will be doing everything bar walking on hot coals to play this week. If not Kerridge
Lewis Johnston. No McFarlin this week, JJ, Smack and Sauce to battle in the rucks while LJ gets a crack.
Smack. Owes us big time and now has to repay in spades. Would be in his ear all week. Needs to smash into Sandi and compete like an animal, while keeping his wings in.

Like the idea of Lyons as sub, Grigg's long left boot would be good on Pattersons.
No Pav, McPharlin or Ballantyne...got a real chance if the same endeavour is shown minus the brain snaps and better goal kicking.

It is just a two or three years with constant injuries makes it hard for him to impact contests the way he used to ( in saying this he'll probably BOG this weekend)

First it was recurring "turf toe" but he seems to have got that right. A hamstring tendon split has wrecked his 2013. If he can string four or five games together, I've got little doubt that he will recapture his dominance.

You're dead to me.

You're dead to me.

Well well well, If its not Richard Marx... How are you doing You Repeat offender?:D

In the Real World, Zac Dawson will play this weekend and there Aint Nothin you can do About it.:D;)

Regardless of the result, win lose or draw I will be Right here waiting, Then Again you would be Satisfied if the crows win.:D;)

I probably going to be drunk on Saturday night, Its going to be an unforgettable night before I wait for the sunrise.:D

Oh and Richard Marx... That was Lulu is my Favourite song!:):thumbsu:
