Yeah, it’s a bit harsh judging him in what was just his second game at AFL level.. even if it was against a crap side... he was good against Sydney, better than gooch in that game imo. Gooch didn’t do a lot against Sydney until the last quarter when he looked bloody great. Poholke played well the entire 4 quarters in Sydney game.

Different roles, Goochs game against Sydney was quite good factoring in for the most part he was a small forward (and hence, you're expecting it to be very hot and cold). Still though, I liked Poholke game a lot despite it being low possessions.

Murphy is better than Galluci for me

I can see where you are coming from, Murphy does more defensively which is a key part of what a small forward is about; especially with Betts being in the side.

I'd rather see us select Gallucci though as he'll end up more then a small forward and getting him up to AFL speed is a much bigger priority. He is a potential midfield rotation after all. Murphy really doesn't have that option.

And that was pretty much the entire reason he went undrafted I believe. Still, we had nothing to lose giving him a shot, the fact he made the AFL side is a credit to him. I still think he could have a decent career as a small forward for us going forward because his will to improve and work his butt off is obviously very high.

Definitely was a huge part of him not getting drafted. That said, I do agree and I reckon he can end up at a Callinan level of small forward in the long run; good defensively, not super quick by smalls standards, and does have a touch of class about him which is always good to see in a small.

Tbh he can't possibly play as poorly as against gold coast. Hopefully goes some way toward redeeming himself this week.

Would have gone Murphy all else being equal, but poholke has some size, good speed and a decent mark at least. Physical as well. Probably the most similar player to Knight we have availiable.

Well it's very possible he does, but hopefully he's got that trying too hard game out of his system.

Why? You don’t think people and organisations do this all the time?

What did we do with the Tippett deal?

So you haven’t answered what their motive is to not tell the truth about our recent injuries. Why so hesitant to say the injuries are hammys?

Any one running a business knows that you don’t tell the customers everything.
In this case the membership.
They have told us they have been trying for the extra edge and over worked a few guys. Everyone is on a slightly different program and there are no guarantees. They have acknowledged this and adjusted a few things. We’ll have to see how it plays out.
Mind you they do need to make sure they assess performance at the end of the season and do what they have to do. Without the nepotism that seems to be an issue.

The number 1 rule in Company Communication/Messaging is the messages need to be consistent. No matter how dire the situation gets you dont change your message midstream

If the message is ' we dont like to comment on injuries' thats fine. At a later date you might even add to it a little ' we dont like to comment on injuries but we are regularly assessing those that do occur''

To change the messaging from ' we dont like to comment on injuries'' to ' we have turned the corner and adjusted the program in the hope no more injuries occur ' is wrong. what happens if more injuries occur? did the adjustment fail?

The second change in the message is over injury to awareness. Thats double speak.

Crows treatment of injuries are of a concern. Information I’ve received on the grapevine crows have missed diagnosed Brad crouch’s injury hence why he is out for soo long!

Do you reckon the club is doing the diagnostics or going to a specialist for this. I’ve found doctors to not always be that great when things are not textbook. I’ve found solicitors, accountants, town planners, private certifiers and even the ATO struggle to give correct answers. It’s like everyone is winging it to some extent. I do it myself to occasionally.

Whilst I agree with you, quite a few guys who have gotten injured this year are perennially so.

It was when Eddie got hurt that I changed my tune. On Sloane, he will struggle to be fit for the year. Very few players get over foot injuries

Sloane one was in the play. There’s no covering up going on there at least.

If they all play in the same team, it pushes Sloane and Gibbs to play more outside roles. They are great at defensive running. When they are at the coal face, they are not able to do that defensive running as much anyway. So we gain extra defensive running from our A-graders, who have great tanks by the way.
Really, really good point.

1) I wouldn't believe one word of the AFC spin on this.

2) Our star player totally mismanaged when we are in the hunt for a flag...heads must roll.
Eyes must roll.
1) It doesn't matter what we believe. The reality of the situation is he's not playing, and better to leave him out than repeat their mistake from the Collingwood game.
2) Maybe it was a new injury on some weirdly named tendon. Maybe not, but "heads must roll" is overreacting. For starters, whom, in particular?
However, a strong argument can be made to sack Haaasss (wasn't sure how many a's and s's) because of the hamstring fiasco, for sure.

Wonder those thinking Burton mate club done no wrong will feel with Port getting 3 good players back if they beat us on Sat. to draw level with us on points.
It is a debacle and don't say we are all reacting as many of us were very unhappy with Burtons return to us let alone his promotions.

Not 8. We had 12 separate incidences of hamstring injuries. Several players injured their hamstrings twice.

It occurs to me that we have been able to get to a grand final with a team of guys that were not the highest draft picks.

We’re kind of like the polar opposite of GWS. Draft sanctions and player losses have robbed us of some of our better players and here we are able to play finals for the last 3 years with a GF last year.
Could it be that we are actually getting to do this by getting the absolute most out of the guys possible? Maybe this injury thing is just a byproduct of wringing the very best that we can out of the guys. Even to the point of mental capacities we have stretched the guys to near breaking.
It’s like catching a 200kg Tuna on 10 kg fishing line. A very fine balancing act. Maybe it’s as simple as that.

We got their due to talent identification and development.

We had 8 hamstring injuries last year, no way is that "below average"
And yet most the people complaining on this Board did not know until it was brought up.
And it was more than 8 for the year.
8 players was the number by April 24th.
If your going to hang someone and asking for them to be sacked then a complete investigation is a must.

Believe you will find out that regurgitated story dug about the bad advice when he did his ankle and that lead to the operation which failed to cause him to miss most of the year. back in 2015. The story seems to have grown legs and jumped 3 years.

That statement is just wrong on so many levels.

If Wingard doesn't have his hamstring go again, I will be amazed.

I ask questions to find answers. It was a skill set of mine.
But this one was easy as the wording of the rumour is the same as what was used in 2015. and originated from the same source.
So you know for a fact that Brad hasn’t been misdiagnosed?

And how does that explain why during all preseason we said he was a managed program but wasn’t injured? I might be wrong but were you the same poster who said he wasn’t injured during the preseason?

I was that poster who said he had joined the main training groups and was getting ready for a return. Shortly before the radio station pick up on it.
during the Preseason.

I also now know what Hamstring Awareness means and more importantly it not a new term invented by the Crows. Suprised you did not know or at least research the subject.

But I also ask questions and am all for a proper review of the high-performance department, Don't believe in a witch hunt without proof, or fact been bent to shape arguments.
And I dislike keyboard warriors and bullies and you are turning into one.

You could be right but think their staff might have better idea than you.
But main point is not only did we lose another player who finally found real confidence, we also lost a very key player that been rested and supposedly close last 2 weeks along with whatever going on with Knight who was supposed to be available this week.
Heaven knows whats going on with Brad, Gibson,Hampton Keith etc etc

Ok so if he was ready to join the main group during the preseason, why is he still weeks away from playing? Did they misdiagnose him during the preseason?

I know what hamstring awareness is, you have a problem with your hamstring.

What if the review determines decisions made by Burton and Hass has led to our predicament? Will you email Andrew demanding action?

Keyboard warriors and bullies? Can I suggest one thing? In the face of a horror injury run, perhaps don’t come on here and repeat the same line over and over?

1, In Order. He joined the main group to gain fitness, unfortunately, I don't believe he lasted the week or session forgot which one.
2, Did you know it is now used worldwide to rest players before there is what us old schoolers call a hamstring injury.
3 If a correctly run Review calls for different staff or personnel to support the existing setup then yes. As That is the reason for a review to find the cause , and in that case, I will be contacting Rod Jameson and depending on the timing the Member-elect who will be replacing Mark Ricciuto.
But First, there needs to be enough members who will contact the club asking for a review. not abusing them as that does not help the cause. So contact the Club and ask for one Push other to do so.
4, To answer you last I will quote Martin Luther King.
