No offense, but I don't believe that at all and if players are saying that it was an amazing experience and everyone loved it then they're just toeing the club line.

Both Jacobs and Betts were two players who definitely went to Chapman unhappy about the camp. Judging from what Caro has said there were others too, Chapman has even admitted that he got a very mixed response from the players about it.

Let's no kid ourselves, the camp has been both a PR disaster and somewhat of a morale buster amongst certain players and their partners.

CEOs in football are normally in charge of the administration of the club while all football related appointments are usually made by the board.

This one falls squarely with Roo, I strongly suspected it was a job for the boys scenario when it was first announced, but now after seeing how poorly it is playing out I am now convinced that the only reason he is at the club is because of Roo getting him a job.

They have already said they have made tweaks to the program and are fixing it. Don pyke was on the news tonight saying it. He said after next week we will only have 1 or 2 with hamstring injuries. Hardly the end of the world. We have gotten games into kids early in the year and they have done the job. Found some more depth.

By fix it I mean sack Hass, replace him with a fitness gun and remove any control Burton has over our fitness program.

Point 1 - There is a difference between confronting your fears and being ridiculed by them. They would dislike the person who put them through it as much as anyone which is not a harmonious situation for a club.

We all love Roo but what are the picks he has done that allows him to build a boys club e.g. Smart, Jamesion ,Burton.
The only one I can think is Pyke and unsure how much influence he had on that.
Things to remember here is Burton not only ex teammate but friend and ex housemate who came back to club to duo fitness after disaster results up in Brissy and got 2 promotion virtually without doing anything and brought his mate again who already achieved poor results.
Of course we got back Hart, again another that not good enough to hold a ass. coach role and trying to be a media expert.also unsuccessfully

Caro and other talking heads make all kinds of unsubstantiated claims. They're paid to find controversy and dig for dirt and negatives much more often than positives, which are less interesting. I wouldn't put too much credence in what Caro said.

PR disaster, yes, but they don't need much ammo to react with hyperbole. It certainly attracted a lot of negative attention and scrutiny East of our border from Caro and others who love to sling shit at the Crows. It drew comparisons to the infamous fire-walking from years ago. They relished the chance to do that, again.

I thought it was the other way. He's not playing in order to keep him fit, in a sense. We have identified that over doing it with underdone players increases the probability of hamstring injury. So we correct that, by controlling his loads.... and bigfooty loses its shit
