Changes v Sydney

Its amazing how good the whole team looks when the mids are on top and moving the ball quickly and cleanly.

The forwards suddenly look like guns, the backs are under less pressure and appear to be on top of their opponents.

Absolutely our biggest issue is the midfield. Is it merely a co-incidence that the teams with the best midfields are the ones that regularly smash us?

The only remedy sadly is time. Time for Cunnington, Ziebell, Garlett, Atley etc to gain strength, fitness and experience at the top level.

You guys needed a few more classy forwards and you would have won.. Maybe Daw to Debut as a forward?

Mmmm, that was pretty poor on Sat night. Time to make a few changes. Game plan is still on the nose ... need to be a little more conservative with ball movement 'cos we're not that good yet! We've got a couple too many plodders who are prone to poor disposal and brain fades ... they basically lost us the game. Harper needs a rest and Goldy injured.

Out: Goldy (inj), Harper (rest), McMahon (plodder), Pratt (brain fade), Thomas (brain fade). Lucky - Hansen (out if Goldy gets up), Thompson (brain fade).

In: Pedersen (ruck or forward), Tarrant (releases Thompson & Firrito), Greenwood (desperately need his competitiveness), Anthony (mid-field depth), Richardson (gives a bit more dash out of defence).

Rawlings Delaney Thompson
Firrito Tarrant Richardson
Anthony Swallow Harvey
Speight Petrie Adams
Hansen Edwards Ziebel
Pedersen Wells Cunnington
Greenwood Garlett Macmillan Atley

just expressing my frustaration at the level of complete crap these two are giving our club, what annoys me more is guys coming on here with next weeks changes and not even naming one or both of them:confused::confused:

Did you name McMahon, who was as equally as shit as Hansen and easily worse than Thomas, in your outs?

Funny how you won't bag McMahon because you like him yet you are pretty quick to hang shit on those two.

Fook me tas, he's playing pretty good footy mate....he needs a spell and some support!! I think we all have put pressure on ourselves due to fact we just missed out last year with basically the same side.....injuries and getting ahead of ourselves along a tough start to the season has us exactly where we are....

I'm not having a dig at Swallow because he is one of our few effective mids currently, but when you are the bottom of packs all the time it is hard to be more offensive and right now getting clearances isn't our problem, it is what happens after we get the clearance.

If we could play four quarters or travel interstate without looking totally shizen we would have won. Daw would probably have been a deer in the headlights, it is one thing to do a few nice things in the VFL, another to compete and play four quarters of footy at AFL level, all of our forwards look good at VFL level.

jekyl and hyde people as I said.......for the 3rd time this I will tip against us cause I don't believe our lads aren't up to it as far as opposition goes.....but theyll probably click and have a blinder.

We need to get games into the players "we" feel are the future of our next premiership challenge. I like the fact Jack Zeibell is assigned a negating role, he'll learn to play while focusing on 1 man to beat.....this may also be the case for Cunnington as well. Our defenders are under the pump again this year to due the fact our mids arent stepping up......but we have to continue to persist!!Our weakness by far is our mids, we are about a season and a half away from them playing to a level we will enjoy!! Look at the eagles Worsfold copped everything last year but noone is throwing stones at his direction now...
Us, the armchair experts need to be alittle more patient I'm affraid.
Lachy Hansen yeah sure he is testing all of our patience but when the time comes we will benefit from it. His hands can be a weapon in the future some of those grabs at high speed were exceptional.

It is why we are so up and down in games so far, not enough four quarter efforts by enough players.[/quote]

summed up the whole season so far NMFC 1811
in the above quote. 'NOT ENOUGH 4 QTR EFFORTS' otherwise we would have beaten Richmond and Brisbane in a canter and probably West Coast as well

Lucky - Hansen (out if Goldy gets up), Thompson (brain fade).

Agree. Hunter very lucky not to be dropped for being our best player on the weekend. He'd want to watch that.

Do you have access to any of these peoples personal details

If so, how do you resist the urge to hunt some of them down and slap them?

A small thing called The Law tends to keep us in check Tef.

In: Pederson, Tarrant & Richardson.
- Rotating Hansen, Tarrant & Pederson through CHB and CHF during games.
- Midfielders spreading quicker from pack situations.
- Drafting more midfielders with leg-speed.

Out: Our plodding and undisciplined array of half back flankers and back pocketers.

Thomas and Hansen are running low on credits (both should end their careers with 200 games for North BTW) but form and effort are questionable currently.

I would say Out would be Hansan,Harper.Bring in McKinley,Pederson. We just need to get more games into the young guys and we will get there. To say get rid of Brad Scott is a joke.Look at Atleys game and some of the smooth things this kid does.Just remember we have had a bad run with Injuries and in the end we will getto where we want to be.Its hard at the moment but through pain we will grow and become better.Go Roos

So you recommend omitting a classy young player like Harper then follow that with "getting more games into the young guys."

WTF?

I am truly pissing myself laughing right now.

The fog of youth is thick indeed.

Out: Pratt, McMahon
In: Pederson, Richardson.

Need to trial Hansen at CHB at times ala Melbourne with Jack Watts so Pederson to rotate with Hansen

thomas is a gimmee for me. hes been better but still needs vfl.

would leave pratt thought hes bought some better system to kick out duties

leave anthony in the vfl until he starts earning his spot no quick recalls

harper aitley and spieght stay.

B:Firrito Deleney Rawlings
HB:Wright Hansen Macmillan
C:Ziebell Swallow Atley
HF:Harvey Petrie Adams
F:Harper Edwards Speight
R:Goldstein Greenwood Wells

I:Garlett Thompson Thomas Cunnington

Gotto mix it up a touch. We need better users. Hansen needs to find form. 2's will never happen. Pretty balanced backline with some good users/shut-downers.

I cant have all this bring Richardson in talk..... he was terrible in all his games so far ... like a deer in headlights . Reminded me of Ash Watson who also dominated VFL but couldnt handle the step up!!!
