Faulks and Sandilands seem like risky ins, might have prefered Pearce to Hinkly as some added cover if someone can't run out the game. Still will be interested to see how faulks go (if Harvey doesnt pull another late change) and if he shows anything our backline is really looking good.

I don't think anyone will be disappointed by Faulks. He's a solid defender.

Maybe Mayne will take Pavs bash and crash role through the midfield and allow Pav more time forward with Pav taking the occasional mid field run and switching with Mayne.

I can only presume so. Were badly lacking in small defenders and betts could towel us up if Grover gets the job.

Sandi is not fit.

This is Harvey panicking and playing Sandi because he's desperate, like Geelong last year, did more harm than good.

Barlow, you are right, I did forget.

We have been playing terribly
I think playing Sandi is a HUGE mistake, hes still not over the foot problem and will struggle most of the game possibly making it even worse meaning he is no chance to return against North or bulldogs.
Sounds like only way it will heal is to pretty much stay off it an rest could need months of rest.

Having said all that I still think we will win
Judd will get 30+ and dominate but we will stop the rest of them, an their forward line will struggle to score against our defense.

I thought hes always said he loves it up forward an given a choice he would be playing there?
That why im so glad to hear Silvagni saying he loves being a defender because if u love what your doing theres more chance u will succeed.
An not many players actually enjoy playing in defense.

Oh an I hope neither of those 2 play forward.
1 will be needed to stop Kreuzer an when Kreuzer isnt forward Warnock goes forward.
So need a good tall defender back there.
An im sure they would have another tall that plays forward for the other to defend.

I dont understand people thinking playing Sandilands is a mistake. We don't have much cattle left in the big man department with Griffin still injured. An 85% Sandi is better than a 100% Griffin or any other bloke out there and it is the time of the season when we NEED wins. We can't win 2 and rely on others not winning. We aren't guarenteed of winning against either North or the Dogs anyway, so at the moment it is win at all costs.

It isn't much different from last year, bar Mundy. That is the main hurt, however we ran riot over them in Melbourne with a similar team. However Barlow is still not back to his best like he was then.

However, it won't be a huge Carlton win. Over reaction is rife on this board, far too much and it starts with you mainly GG.
