I would be happy to see any of Monfries, Krakouer, Johnson, Atley, Howard or even Toumpas (I know people would melt if Jimmy came in, but he doesn't waste the ball by foot nearly as much as our other midfielders) brought in.

These guys can either use the ball effectively forward of center or kick goals themselves. Krakouer or Monfries are probably the ones I'm most hopeful to see make their way back into the side. They are the two who can play defense and offense to a really high level.

You almost feel is it time for the first time this year Ken made major changes, seriously, wash rinse and repeat is lost on us all. I think the crowd noise or lack there of last night and couldn't push 40k must be worrying the club a little, you can tell many have lost faith.

That's because he's too scared of making a mistake to ever so much as try to do anything constructive.

If he hits targets forward of centre going sideways or backwards instead of kicking long it to "space" (read 3 defenders guarding space) as our supposed best kick Wingard was doing last night then I don't care how scared he is.

If everyone in our team played the way Toumpas does then I wouldn't want him near the side, hell if even one other midfielder wouldn't bomb forward without thinking I wouldn't bother, but just one more player between the arcs who uses short kicks like Amon, White, Toumpas or Krakouer do would be massively useful in maintaining possession of the ball, and creating smart inside 50s instead of fast ones SOME of the time.

Does Young do it? Monfries? If so bring them in. It's a glaring weakness in our side in close games, and we have about a dozen players who can't help themselves.

There's only so much of your game you can improve in the reserves, the rest you need to develop at the top level. If Atley in particular doesn't get a game we'll lose him to his brother's team at Norf, which is just taking the piss in itself.

Play a young bloke or Eddy Ken, I dare you. It will genuinely surprise me if you do. Anyways, here's what I'd do:

Out: Hartlett, Westhoff, Neade, Pittard

Put Trengove down back so Hombsch doesn't play shutdown role, give Atley a stint in the middle and move Wingard up forward, play Eddy next to Dixon and play Howard up forward or down back and ruck relief when needed (similar to Westhoff's role but Howard can actually kick a goal).

IMO, Ken will not be coach next year. Too many players have stagnated and his reluctance to play an extra tall in the forward line ie Howard, and continually playing players that are not up to,it, ie S Gray and Neade, must mean Ken is moved on.

So listening to the presser, Ken is blaming everything on missing goals - which I do agree with but selections aside it's our biggest problem. Bad goal kicking becomes the big elephant in the room, as soon as the players are lining up for the simple shots (which seem to be the ones we miss) they choke at the minute. If only we had a forward who can be consistently kicking goals, that way maybe the good fortune would rub off onto others, oh wait we do....... carn Ken reward form, the same spuds missing each week need a shake up. Maybe ken thinks he needs to be more consistent? if he doesn't play this week what the hell do we have him for?

So 29-2 in 9 games and 1 shocker of 5-6 for a total 34-8 ie a conversion rate of 80.95%. Nah we need defensive pressure before we need goal kickers.

Agree entirely. Watching a bunch of skinny Brisbane players made me realised how poor our development of players has been. We can't keep backing in the same blokes that come in and out every 3 weeks. Plus the seniors that need a serious ass kicking. If only KH had the same ethos as Beveridge.

If we want to make finals I hate to say it, Hinkley has to be sacked and Basset needs to be made Head Coach for the rest of the year NoW.

I left half way through the last and I don't care what abuse I get, it was garabage, predictable and woeful coaching of players.

It's the same old under performers that get free passes by supporters and coaches. They are mentally weak and need to go.

DBJ has lost it in the 2017 structure. Sam Gray isn't strong enough. Neade has no composure and over runs the ball.

Have some guts and cull the weakness.

SPP, Wines, Atley, Ebert, Polec, Ryder a nice midfield.

I'm not going to North game the club is pissing in my pocket, I'm sick of being good guys, be f'in ruthless. The club is closed shop too, only wanting yes men. I offered to help on a committee and no thanks. They only want to be surrounded by back slappers!

You know what. My business I set the managers KPI's we have weekly leadership meetings holding them to account. However I realised some of the KPI's were shit, it wasn't really reflecting so I changed them.

Play in the middle with SPP, Ollie, Ebert and leave Chad predominantly in fwd 50 with some time in the middle. He is ready and in form. Absolutely drop Neade for him and drop S Gray for Dougal who is a tall mobile fwd with a good kicking action...novel idea i know!
