How is it a shock recall.. played well all year, kicked 9 goals in two weeks against the two best sanfl sides, both in games where the team as a whole were ordinary.. I'd say it's an obvious call up.

The shock will come if Ken actually selects him.

First Change
Eddy up front - Full Forward (leading).
Trengove into Westhoffs role - Floating around doing whatever he wishes, and providing chop out for Ryder.

So Eddy in ~ Westhoff out (Or Trengove out, doesn't bother me both surplus to requirements)

Second Change
Neade out
Gus in
This one is simple. Gus has experience and goal scoring nous

Third Change
Impey out
Any of our quick runners inn (Bonner, Johnson etc)

Impey provides nothing and to me is one of the dumbest footballers along with Charlie Cameron I've ever seen.

A typical Impey ossession includes getting the ball, tucking under arm, sprinting somewhere then losing the ball. It looks flashy and moronic fans love it, but it is pure sh!t and provides nothing.

Yea Bonner and Johnson might make mistakes but honestly who cares, they are better than Impey who is a dud.

Fourth Change - Positional not In/Out
Hammer to spend more bursts in the middle, and whilst doing so get our best set shot Chad Wingard (who has been killing it in the mid) up front.

yes we lose Chad a bit more in the mid here but we should have plenty enough with Polec, Ebert, Boak, SPP, Wines etc all going through the, and Hammer has a damaging kick too.

Carn Port. Make these four changes and we win the premiership. it's simple.

Is it possible we could get Atley to play the half forward role that Boak is playing to ease him in and get Boak back in the guts where he belongs?

Eddy to replace one of our smalls not really doing enough: Neade/Impey/possibly Gray

Hombsch a straight swap for Hartlett, i doubt he'll get up but Pittard or Houston might be hoping he doesn't.

Ken won't drop either of Westhoff or Trengove. Ever.

Monfries has only played 1 SANFL game since returning from injury and was average.

Impey's inexplicable intangibles are the reason why he's still in the team.

Would our coaches really want someone who has had close to 0 pre-season and struggling with OP to be thrown into the midfield over someone who trained a full preseason in there?

Our coaches are far too gutless to even try any of those changes.

Most likely lineup

B Jonas Clurey Byrne-Jones
HB Broadbent Hombsch Boak Houston
C White Ebert Polec
HF Impey Dixon S.Gray
F SPP R.Gray

R Ryder Wines Wingard

Int: Westhoff Pittard Broadbent Neade

The only person who would be shocked by Eddy's selection would be Ken.

I find myself in total agreement with a R_Gray Jnr jnr jnr post!

Aside from his (unexpected and probably undeserved) debut, have people ever actually watched Aidyn Johnson play?

He's genuinely a poor man's Jarman Impey.

Time for S.Gay to go out, way to inaccurate in front of goal has nearly kicked twice as many behinds as goals.
As I've mentioned earlier: this seems a case of throwing out the baby but keeping the dirty bathwater. SGray may be inaccurate but he has still kicked equal fourth most goals for us this year and has the 3rd most scoring shots.

One more day. I'm excited for Port's changes this week. Nervous for West Coasts' though.

He appears to work extremely hard too, not just jogging up and down, but getting in the thick of it. IF his goal kicking could be fixed he'd be a star in my eyes.

S Gray is the least of our small forward problems i reckon. Young has struggled all year and has been dropped 3 times now, Neade has come in on the back of some pretty solid SANFL form behind him but is hardly getting near it at AFL level despite obviously trying his guts out, Impey has had 3 good games this year and the rest he has shown about 1 or 2 pieces of brilliance and the rest is pure invisibility, even Wingard when he's played up forward has struggled for some reason and he's playing much better in the guts, and i'm not even sure what to make of Boak's role up forward. Robbie Gray is probably the only small forward with a pass mark and then next in line is Sam Gray for mine, if he could actually kick straight his stats would be pretty impressive.

So in summary of the above ramble, if we are looking to leave a small out Sam Gray wouldn't be my first or even second cab off the rank.

This. He's actually in the Westhoff category of severe goal kicking demons, but is doing most of the other things well in my opinion.

There was a weird article the other day i saw online that said Port mustn't drop Neade because he is a dead eye in front of goal, he's had 3 shots in the last 3 weeks and nailed them all, it was bizarre. I don't care how accurate he is 3 shots at goal in 3 weeks is nowhere near good enough.

Reece Homfray

Although to be fair to Reece he does highlight Neade's defensive efforts as the reason he should not be dropped, "Neade’s pressure is what brought him into the Power’s side in the first place and it was at a more than acceptable level against the Tigers. His efforts — whether in the air against Brandon Ellis or tackling at ground level — forced three turnovers in the first quarter and he finished with four inside 50s and two score assists. When Hinkley hosts Port Adelaide’s match committee this week, Neade cannot be the first one out because he was last one in on Saturday night."

I love Neade's effort. He busts a nut, but he needs to find the footy a bit more. Ditto Impey.

A very poor mans Impey too. So little awareness and footy ability as harsh as that may sound.I dont see a huge future for the lad @ AFL level, but I h ope i am wrong.

What is bizarre is that many on here say he is a terrible shot at goal, when the reality is quite the opposite.
