Neade would be first emergency you'd think.

I think we'll have to be a bit creative in the middle of the ground. You wouldn't want SPP and Atley in the middle together too often. Just a little young to handle that responsibility away from home without support.

So I'd think Wingard plays forward a bit more, rotating with SPP, Atley will spend time in the middle in between with Ebert possibly pushing to the wing.

Will be interesting to see how it works.

I JUST HOPE IT DOES! Come on Joey, we need another kid to step up and it's your time.

Pretty excited. Make it your own Atley :)

It's not shaping up too bad. They'll be without Viney, Jones & Bugg minimum, so it's not totally hopeless.

On our favourite ground too which will help. I see it as the most winnable of the 4 away games to come (including the Showdown).

Massively unpopular opinion but if Trengove can't sit on the bench permanently, ruck full-time or ruck/sit in the backline, he shouldn't be in the team.
Yep, not unpopular with me. Cruel maybe but have seen Frampton as an ideal successor. Asking Doogs to ruck is premature at
the moment (knee).

Given Atley is in the side I think it's reasonable to assume Wingard will play plenty of forward minutes therefore reducing Neades chances. If Hammer doesn't come up, I think Drew comes in, especially with Broady out.
For me Neade would only come in if a small forward goes out, otherwise it's Drew.

My current concern is how tall Eagles are going in. The two other clubs to do this to us (GWS/Essendon) either gutter stomped us, or ran over us convincingly in the final quarter. If there's 0 changes, quote me on this: We will lose by 30 points or more.

Would ideally like to see Trengove chucked back to match the height.

Yeah fair enough, I just think they're taking Drew for the experience more than anything, because he isn't ready for AFL footy IMO. If they intended on Drew playing I think a few others would've gone over to Perth before him, but I think they'd rather those that have a shot of getting selected next week be getting a good game in the SANFL this week.

So for that reason I think Neade is the emergency and Impey will play back if Hammer doesn't come up.

That's how I feel about him as well. Looking at his past 10 games:

I'd deem 3 of them to be good, 1 average, 6 below average. One of those I think were good was when we got pummeled, but the other 2 are when we smashed the opposition.

I dunno, I'm struggling to see what he brings to the table at the moment and I'm somewhat surprised he doesn't have a spot down back. Just my 2 cents though.
He seems to have gotten most of his goals against weaker opponents, that suggests he is not good enough come finals.

So Priddis and Mitchell are a little slow. Are we gonna SPP and Atley to sit on them and let Ebo and co. play the more attacking mid field role?

I assume Hartlett is still dodgy. Can't see Drew coming in for him given Ken's love for Neade and having potential backs of Pittard, Houston, DBJ, Jonas, Hombsch, Clurey, Impey, Trengove

Good luck Joe. Always love seeing a young fella debut, it always fills me with excitement and anticipation that we might uncover a future legend of the club.

I don't mind the thought of playing Neade on a wider ground like Subiaco, assuming he is used correctly!

The biggest winning margin either way since 2013 has been 14 points.
