Well played England, deserve the 3-0 result. They have had 3 pretty difficult run chases in each test and made them look like a piece of piss. Some exciting tests ahead for the rest of the English summer against India and South Africa.

Pretty strange series from the Kiwis. Had enough runs to defend in each of those fourth innings chases but just seemed to lack any killer instinct at the death when the heat was on.

It looks like this aggressive stance is one of the English are going to push forward with. Bairstow seemingly has decided enough with mediocrity in test cricket and he'll go live or die with the same attitude that has proven successful in ODI cricket. He's going to play a little over half his tests on grounds which for which that sort of mindset is generally only beneficial to those at the very top of the talent tree such as Kevin Pietersen.

Next years Ashes certainly got a little juicier but with 12 months to go we're going to get a very good sighter at the English approach.

Simon Doull ripping into the NZ selectors for only picking 3 frontline bowlers and picking Bracewell instead of Ajaz Patel, it seems like everyone thought it was a bad call except the ones that made the call.

Disappointing result for us going down 3-0 but England were the better team overall across the series, we had our moments and had some good individual performances from the likes of Mitchell, Blundell and Boult but it wasn't enough.

It will be interesting to see how this brave new England team go against India, I expect they will have a tougher examination against them.

Ashes in england was always going to be tight anyway and we wont have smith batting like bradman this time either, it wasnt some great team plan or some great team performance in 2019 it was 4 exceptional performers(smith marnus cummins hazlewood) but mostly smith batting like few have batted before.

Hopefully it's balanced out by not being 2-10 every time we bat though.

Anyways that was impressive from England and pretty poor for the WTC.
